Love these. Do bleed through. Paper not as thick as some of my others. Love the idea not choosing the colours especially when tired. All different topics to choose from. Good size. Drawing r good.

One picture per piece of paper
Each picture is on a new page. They're not back to back, which means I don't have to worry about colours going through. I have coloured pencils, so that's what I used. I probably apply a medium pressure and although impressions went through to the back of the page, nothing went on to the page underneath. Usually, I have to put a scrap piece of paper behind when colouring. It makes a pleasant change not to have to do that.My coloured pencils are standard, not professional by any means and they came up well on the white paper. In fact, I'm pleased with the paper quality. When colouring with lighter colours, it looked like some of the black ink would get pulled from the lines. However, when I look back, it doesn't show. One of the books hadn't been bound properly, leaving a page loose. Upon closer inspection, I noticed the spirals weren't closed tightly enough, meaning more pages could fall out without careful handling. This was my first time as an adult, using colour by numbers and I liked that I didn't have to think which colour went where. Being able to completely work through one colour at a time, meant that I can see progress happening more quickly. Finally, I'm going to have to invest in a wider range of colours as there's such a large variety of shades used throughout. As an example, the flamingo looks like it uses about four different shades of pink, one which appears to be a coral.

It's ok
As far as colouring books go - this one is OK. They have a suggested colour palette for every picture, but those colours are a bit 'washed; out, and not necessarily representing the picture well. But You can go and chooses your own way of colouring them in. The paper quality seems decent, and the markers I used didn't dye through to another side too much.
