Q: Is this a hard bottom?

No this is a soft bottom with hard frame. I carry two cats to the car in this with no problem.

Q: The last case i bought broke... i need to carry him on the bus with out the handle breaking he's less than 30lbs. Will i be able to carry him ?

This isn't intended as a literal carrier. It's a crate that's easy to travel with because it folds down. It's all fabric except for the frame. If you get a small enough size you may be able to carry the dog inside the crate like you'd carry a box but you'd have to make sure you support the bottom with your arms. You will probably be better off getting a traditional hard plastic travel crate.

Q: How stormy is this for a chewer?

I'm assuming you meant "strong"..? Our dog is 42lb lab/boxer mix and is a fanatic chewer. We only use it as a sleep kennel in our RV for when we're camping, so maybe she's too tired to really try tearing the place up, but we've found that this crate works wonderfully. That said, I don't think I'd use this as a kennel (i.e., leaving your pup in here while you go to work for the day).
