Great for the long haul!
Just took a trip to the Netherlands with this beast and I love it! I didn't get an actual weight, but coming back I had to have 70-80 pounds in it. From getting on a train, moving around terminals and navigating elevators, etc - this performed flawlessly. There were a few times I wasn't so sure, like when I had to drag it down a steep set of stairs to get off the train fast while people waiting - I thought for sure I would break a wheel, nope. I had to carry this by the pull out handle along - again under pressure to move fast - did the handle break? Nope. I even had another bag attached to the handle that weighted 15-20 pounds! When we got to our destination, everything inside (including multiple bottles of gin) was safe and sound. This is now my go-to bag for my long trips abroad.

Great suitcase for those who need plenty of space.
Love this suitcase. It's HUGGGGE. Plenty of room. No compartments however other than a net with a small pocket, but as far as space you can't beat it. I would recommend they make the handle more stable however. It doesn't seem very study extended all the way out. I would recommend a different design. i get around this by not extending it out all the way but you will tend to trip on it at times. I find myself just letting it roll flat vs.leaning it at a tilt. You can spot it from a mile away and no getting your suitcase mixed up with others, because it's very unique. The orange color is awesome but it gets dirty really easy and you can expect it to look worn after the first use. No issues with the TSA lock after 2 trips. i got it to protect my laptops because it's hardshell but ended up switching to a carry on bag for that purpose. But, nonetheless I am still very pleased with this purchase.

Great Suitcase
As a road warrior, I love this suitcase. I fly about 85% of the year and this hardshell case can take a beating. So on the first trip, the Samsonite badge fell off. Aside from that it has held its on well. With it being a 4 wheel roller, it's effortless moving it around with one hand. Even with it fully loaded with 75 lbs of stuff in it. Bags comparable to this will take a beating if its full (your stuff inside keeps it from cracking and caving in). Think about trying to crush a unopened soda can vs a empty one. This is not the case with this hardshell. I'll have it less than half way full and there is no damage to it. I can sit on it while its on its side and it doesn't give in. Inside there is no liner, just the shell. I dont really see this as a issue. There is one divider to help things stay put when opening the case. There is a water resistant seal around the lid which i think is nice. The bright orange color makes it easy to spot at baggage claim or if it gets lost in transit. Overall for the price and durability this is a steal.

Light, solid and pretty !!
I live in Africa so we travel a lot between North America, Africa and Thailand and have always purchased Samsonite for the last 20 years. The last few Samsonite suitcases we purchased had zippers that broke easily usually lasting just 2 or 3 trips and then out in the trash. We decided to go back to the no zipper suitcases so we looked and looked until we found these, no zippers just easy to code locks, large interior and I love the orange color.I really don't think that an elephant could stand on these like the old commercials but I'm confident that they cannot be tampered with or broken into as easily as the zippered ones.

This is a good suitcase but the wheels are a bit wonky
This is a good suitcase but the wheels are a bit wonky.I'm a fan of the hardshell design and the three clasps that close it. The rubber gasket seems like it would keep out a light rain, at least.TSA inspected it the last time I flew and they apparently had no problems opening the TSA lock; they didn't smash it or anything. The combo lock seems to work well.I actually managed to program the combo lock with a random combo because my finger slipped on the little tab while I was flipping the numbers. I had to spend five minutes trying every single combination before I could re-open the thing. I managed to re-program it properly after that. The wheels annoy me. I wish that they still sold the version with the two partially-recessed wheels. You can't slide that one around upright but it pulls behind oneself much smoother and the wheels don't stick out as much. The wheels on this one occasionally get crazy wobbly when you're pulling it.The bright orange color is great. I can spot my suitcase from 50 yards away. It stands out against the millions of black suitcases rolling and sliding around.I have this same suitcase in red (two-wheeled version). It has scuffs on it but it still is in very good condition. The main clasp is a bit sticky, which worries me, but still functions completely.Recommended for a reasonably priced hardshell suitcase. If you have some extra cash, there are better options for $600+, but this one hasn't busted on me yet.

Best suitcase ever
It is the most sturdy suitcase we ever have. I can’t understand why Samsonite stopped this product.

To big for airlines
I bought this thinking it would a good bag for family travel and vacations. The dimensions are too big to be checked in unless you want to pay a large fee. The customer service is to put it nicely is horrible. I was back and forth with them for days. I kept explaining that it was to big and wanted a refund. There policy says the bag must be returned Exactly as it was delivered. The box and bag went in the garbage and the tags were cut off. I kept explaining to them that and wanted to work something out. The offered me a 30 refund and to keep the bag. So 190 dollar suit case I can’t use with a 30 dollar refund. Garbage. If they just stated anywhere that the bag was to big I never would have bought it. A horrible experience and a waste of money. Not a company I would ever buy from again.
