Great product. Functioning well so far 1 week in.

First important point to make is do not exceed 10 Amps. This charger has options to change the current available and therefore alter the speed of the charge. A normal trickle charge cable delivers 10A at UK mains voltage giving you 2300 to 2400 Watts approx. This product will allow you to run at 13A which is pushing your luck really, hence some other reviews showing heat damage. You need your supply socket to be up to the job so consult a qualified electrician if in doubt.I have bought this to allow scheduling of my charge in line with my overnight rate. This is a stop gap for me while I consider getting a level 2 charger installed. I don't necessarily need to charge more quickly, but getting a smart charger would open up the availability of some other tariffs. Also running a professionally installed new cable from the meter box that is dedicated to EV charging would provide peace of mind in terms of safety. For now though, a slow charge is OK.Unit build quality seems fairly good. It looks very similar to the cable suppled with the car, only with added features. Set up was simple using bluetooth to send the wifi details over. The app is not the slickest looking bit of programming I've ever seen, but on first impressions it seems to work.First overnight schedule was a failure. The cable didn't seem to communicate with my phone. My thoughts were that this was for one of 3 reasons. 1. The wifi at the garage wasn't strong enough. 2. There were permission issues with the app. Or 3. The whole thing is garbage.I have given the app extra permissions to allow notifications when in 'do not disturb' mode. Night 2 the charging was a success. 5 hours of 8.5p charging delivered.The app definitely has some issues. For example, in calculating the charge delivery stats there are errors. The app seems to be off by a factor of ten. This doesn't affect the functionality but having reliable stats would have been handy as my car has no such data either. I can work out what they should be, and at 8.5p unit rate for 5 hours I'm spending about £1 a night.So in conclusion for the £89 I spent I think it's a good product. If the app had less bugs it would be even better.

The media could not be loaded. The charger doesn’t fit properly and has a lot of play/ wiggles when connected hence unable to charge. Took me 2 hrs to get it to connect today then continuously disconnects. Not worth the money

It works like intended! If the app was a bit more functional with programming time! But for my Nissan leaf is nearly perfect! Sturdy quality.

After over half a year of use the original item became faulty. Contacted the seller and they arranged a replacement was posted under warranty. Good service.

Great having the ability to programme when it starts charging, plus being able to fine tune the current it draws. Only had it a short period so no idea on longevity but so far so good, withstood what weather it has had to face perfect ly. Only downside is it has no built in mount point so as to mount to the wall etc....so just lies on the floor but that isn't a real problem due to it's IP rating.Impressed so far......

13 minutes after starting a charge, I received a notification from my car to say ‘charge interrupted’ upon inspecting, the plug has burst into flames and damaged the socket! The sellers ‘solution’ was for me to fit a new plug?! Avoid! Avoid! Avoid!
