Worked as advertised!
Xfinity internet was clunky, TV was pixilating horribly. I have 6 TVs, 2 DVRs and many set top boxes, splitters and connectors. Tech support was zero help, they wanted to send a tech out and charge me. Plugged this in and viola, TV crisp and clear, no glitching, Internet much faster.

Works Great, No More Internet Dropouts!!
I have long runs with a number of splitters in the crawlspace in a high humid environment (Charleston, SC). Comcast internet would drop out at least once a day every day, count on it happening at very inconvenient times. I could have taken the time to crawl under my house to replace all the splitters, clean up connections, etc, etc. but decided to give this amplifier a try. Works like a charm!! So far no internet dropouts at all and the download speed is over 350mbps on a 100mbps Comcast contract download speed. The only issue is this amplifier does get warm-slightly hot to the touch and I have ordered some cheapo aluminum heat sink fins (less than $5-) to glue to flat back to dissipate the heat and perhaps get longer life.

Effective and Well-Built
(4 Stars, because I almost never give 5)..I purchased this because I was getting random disconnects of my cable internet service with Xfinity/Comcast..I did extensive "research" (ie read online blogs and forums) before purchasing. I ALSO attempted (unsuccessfully) to resolve the issue in various ways..Mostly by removing whatever splitters I could access, tightening connections, and even cleaning connectors with rubbing alcohol.Nothing worked as I was still getting lots of Uncorrectable packet errors as well as random disconnects and a HIGH (59Dbmv+) Upstream Power Level...SO, after installing this, I not only went from a 64Dbmv to 49-52, I also reduced MOST of the Uncorrectables..The unit is easy to install, if you've ever done any work with coax/splitters, etc..The unit does not come with instructions, BUT, the upper left connector is marked as being for the power...The other two are confusing, at first, but the MODEM gets connected to the bottom right connector and the line back to your provider gets connected to the Upper Left connector...The unit DOES get warm, so I wouldn't enclose it in a cabinet, or even necessarily wall-mount it, as it may shorten it's life...I DO NOT think this is an absolute necessity-Except, when you are having signal issues on the upstream side AND don't have the time or patience to deal with your internet provider...Like me! ;)All the components are (seemingly) very high quality-It feels solid in the hand, not lightweight and cheap like most unpowered splitters do..I'd caution you to NOT buy the 4 port version of this, IF You only have one modem...Like most households..As you'd have at least one port going to waste...The best thing about this purchase so far is that I can once again go to bed at night and know that when I wake up in the AM, my internet connection will still be working! Unless Comcast has yet another service issue in my area.....The next best thing is that it literally arrived in 24 hours! I was lucky in that there's an Amazon or partner warehouse a few tens of miles from me, AND I have Amazon Prime, so it shipped quick! One final thought-Just make sure that you are not powering up devices like this, until you are sure the connections are correct, just in case...All in All, it's not a "gimmick" but has a positive effect on the stability of my connection to Comcast...COULD I have called them and gotten a tech out here to check things out? Yes! WOULD it have taken several phone calls and hours, perhaps days of waiting? YES! Did I have a better than 50% guess that this would alleviate the problem? Again, the answer is yes! SO, ask yourself those basic questions:A. DO I have a high upstream power level? (Greater than 56Dbmv give or take, is bad, anything lower is generally good, but ideal is in the mid to high 40's)B. DO I have enough understanding of coax and coax connections and the data pathway and know which cables go where?C. Do I have $52 burning a hole in my pocket?D. Would I rather spend that money on ice cream? If you answered YES to A, B and C, then what are you waiting for!!!?? BUY THIS NOW!If you answered D..Make mine chocolate please! ;)UPDATE: 1 WEEK LATER:Observations:A. When connected to the line in my office, the modem had MANY, MANY uncorrectable errors, as in the thousands of them..Even with this amp in place...The amp DID bring down the upstream power level as well...B. Even though I had so many errors, I had no dropped connections...C. Once I switched the modem to my living room coax, the errors disappeared..There are now only 2 Correctable errors after 3 days+D. WITHOUT this amp though, I wasn't even getting connected at all...The modem would flash the download icon, then it would go steady, and then it would flash the upload icon, and then it would go out and it would start flashing the download one again, over and over, for hours if I didn't turn it off....So when I did move the modem to the living room, without the amp, it still couldn't connect to your cable company, and with it, it not only can, but I have gotten zero errors in several days....But clearly if you are having a lot of problems like high upstream power levels AND lots of uncorrectable errors, then most likely it's simply a bad cable/connection somewhere and you should call your cable internet provider for help....This AMP CAN help, but it REALLY shouldn't be necessary if your cable company is keeping it's infrastructure maintained...Keep in mind that if you've had animals under your house or around it, there's a chance they chewed on the cable, so if your problems start suddenly, better check your cables and then check with your provider....

Fantastic Product!
I'm sorry I didn't get this sooner! For the longest time I would lose my TV signal and Modem. It's a very easy set up and now everything works the way it should. No dropped signals in over two weeks! Call after call after call to my cable company and they still couldn't get a better signal to my home. The most frustrating thing was unplugging and plugging everything to get it to restart! At one point the cable company wanted to install new cables throughout my entire home! Not needed! I recommend installing this product and put your dropped signals to rest. I'm very happy with this purchase.

Great....when you need it
I bought this because my Comcast cable Internet service was experiencing repeated outages, and when i looked at the diagnostic web page of my Arris SB8200 cable modem, it did show a lot of errors and bands being unusable, and the signal levels also looked borderline. I then removed 50ft of RG6 cable run, which did not help. Then i bought this amplifier. And it does seem to do what it promises. The signal levels shown on the SB8200 where even with 50ft cable run much better than before. But it did not help, i still got the outages.I called Comcast, the service technician was mumbling something like levels being too low without the amplifier, and too high with the amplifier, and that he would get the levels fixed by escalating to the next technician level.I never heard back from Comcast. The levels i see on the SB8200 have not changed, but the outages have gone for at least a week now.Long story short: Don't buy such an amplifier if you're in a similar situation like i was, try to first exhaust the Cable operator support. Even if they suffer from autistic communication issues about their network problems. Otherwise, it seems like a great product, but given how i don't seem to need it, i am sending it back. Sorry!

Lasted 11 months
This worked great for the 11 months while it lasted. Bought in Jan 2020 and it made a HUGE difference in our data bandwidth. Turns out there was a lot of error correction going on at the modem that was slowing things down and sometimes the link was just getting dropped due to too many errors. Fast forward to Dec of 2020 and things have been getting progressively worse for a week or so. I had ordered a backup amp for this reason and after swapping it out we have been up and running again for three days without any issues. So now I will have to see if the 1 year warranty process is honored or not.

This product does what it is suppose to do !!!!!!
Prior to using this product my incoming signal to the cable modem was weak, using too much power to transmit, and out of 4 possible upstream channels only had one. Now downstream signal is much stronger, upstream power is less and now have all 4 upstream channels. Internet speed suppose to be 150 Mb downstream but after adding this signal amp I am getting 160-170 downstream (speeds will vary depending on where you live and population density, but should be some kind of improvement.)
