Worked very well for my application. It seems to be well built and reliable. Only time will tell, of course.The batteries are covered with a screw-on plate. If you will not be using this very often, I highly recommend that you replace the supplied alkaline batteries with Energizer Ultimate Lithium AAA batteries, also available on Amazon. Those won't leak and will last many years in storage.

The written directions leave a little to be desired. The grammar and illustrations make them just a little hard to follow, but after a couple of times through the directions made sense. After setting the desired torque and "track" it was easy to follow the rising torque as I continued to tighten until the green lights and red lights were on. Once I got the hang of setting the tool, it was straight forward and easy to use. One nice feature is you can use ANY length of half inch drive "lever" and you don't have to be careful how you grip the handle as you do with some other torque wrenches. Plus the tool works for CCW torques, i.e. left had threads.In the 50 ft-lb range I was torquing the tool measures to 1/100 ft-lb, e.g. 50.15 ft-lb. That is insanely precise, and I presume accurate considering the close tolerance to tested standards (see below).Advertising specs claim +/- 2%. The tool I got was tested with error of +/- 0% to a max of -0.18% over its entire range. Most of the 10 tests from the factory were divergent from the standard by 0.09% or less -- WAY less than the +/-2% advertised. Quite remarkable, indeed.

Seems to be well made and accurate. Checked my two click type and two beam type wrenches and found they agreed very well with this device. Was really surprised at the accuracy of my old beam type wrenches. You have to apply torque slowly and with firm hold to get the torque value you set. If you try to torque quickly the alarms will run together and can be confusing.

Was this new or the material doesn't last?Corrosion on it already.

Easy to use excellent product and far more accurate than anyone will ever need. Not particularly durable but no torque wrench should be.

So far, I've checked a couple of my torque wrenchs that are analog and they're within a couple of degrees off. Just a little digital adapter works great, I would recommend it. Diagnostic tool

Seems to work well and definitely will be a handy tool, but... The manual states on the first page that the unit needs to be recalibrated once per year to maintain accuracy. Yet the manual offers no information on how to do that. They tell you to "Contact your local dealer", as though we didn't buy this on Amazon and have no local dealer. They don't even have contact information for you to get ahold of them and ask how it's calibrated. So you've got a unit that, by their own admission, needs yearly calibration...and zero way to actually DO that.
