Yes, the clip does fit deeper in the pocket. The bend of the clip is higher than the top of the multi-tool by a few millimeters and this makes it sit lower. Just make sure you have a good tight fit against your pocket because this is probably the most important way to secure it from falling out of your pocket.

The latest version of this clip is slightly longer than the previous version and the original clip. It increases the total length of the Wave + by 0.1 inches or 2.8mm.
