Yes its equal length on each side.

Q: How deep are the shelves? There’s nothing showing how deep they are. Don’t look super deep but needing measurement actual shelf. Thanks.

The top shelve is 12 inches but the others are only 11 inches.

Q: Does this have fixed in lighting to light up as it shows in the photo?

There was no lighting in the shelving unit we purchased. I don't remember lighting being advertised
