This product is amazing for acne. I my self have been using for a little over half a year. I actually paid about $30 for my first 3 bars. It was well worth it though. And I am happy that I was pulled aside in the mall by a lovely young lady that said this would help and I would be singing her praises. Well to this day I am :). Now I'm not sure it says it will hydrate your skin ( I never read package labels lol ) but it does sort of leave your skin a little dry however it exfoliates and cleans deep, that I know. Just don't over scrub! your face is sensitive! I also use this product along with scar zone to help combat the dryness and remove the old scars and not to mention scar zone provides SPF 15. I highly recommend trying this little routine instead of the OTC acne products that haven't worked for you. One last note, stick to it, things don't happen overnight. Also wash your face in the morning and at night with warm water and then splash it with cold water to close pores and try not to rub your face in a towel rather pat it dry. :) then add moisturizer :) hopefully I could help someone. One last last note find out what food triggers your breakouts and stay away from it or eat it in smaller portions. Mine was dairy i still drink/eat it but in very small amounts.Thanks for reading - Elijah

Have used this soap for years - I have extremely sensitive skin and this soap absolutely does not irritate. I only gave 3 stars as a moisturizer because it's not a moisturizing soap. That said, it does not strip your skin of moisture. I have no dry spots or flaky skin. It's a hard milled soap so last for months. This is a black soap and will discolor a white wash cloth. I soap up my hands and then wash my face with hands. I have paid as much as $13 for one bar so the 3 bars for $20 is an excellent price on Amazon.

I can't rave enough about this bar. I have used sooooooo many face washes over the years and nothing cleans my face like this. I used to be a huge nutrogena fan, but I would break out all the time even after washing my face twice a day. I was in the mall one day and got talked into using this product. retail $40 per bar at the kiosk. Once I used it and my face cleared up, I never turned back. Yes your skin will be squeeky clean, litterally squeeky. But give it 3 days max and you will see a difference in your skin. I will continue purchasing this for years and years.

I have been using this product for years now. My skin leans more towards the oily side. This mud soap definitely helps with that. I follow up with witch Hazel toner then coconut oil for a moisturizer because my skin does feel a little dried out afterwards. The coconut oil helps to balance it out. Since using this soap I have had minimal breakouts (if any), less shiny/oily skin, plus this last 6-9 months as I use it only for my face. It’s definitely worth the investment.

Cleans and makes you pretty

I was looking for a Dead Sea mud (silt) product to use for my problem skin in lieu of a mud mask I had once used, and purchased this based on the hugely discounted price at the time and another reviewer's claim it helped her skin.I've been using the soap twice daily on my face by just lathering the soap into my hands or with a washcloth. I thought that due to the hue of the soap and the fact that it has Dead Sea silt in it that it might later in a grey color, but it doesn't (it's a whitish lather like your typical soap). After washing it leaves my skin feeling "squeaky" - like it's stripping too much moisture from it. With acne that might be tolerable, but I find I have to moisturize every time after I use the soap (skipping the acne spots). So the claim that this soap "gives your skin the essential hydration it needs" seems a little too generous for what it does. Presumably it's the salt in the soap that does it.(Also, packaging of the items was odd: the soap bars I purchased were at the bottom of a cardboard box with Styrofoam peanuts on top of them. Shouldn't they have been sandwiched in between the peanuts?? The bars of soap themselves weren't damaged, though.)So, right now I'm torn between a 3-star review and a 4-star. I've only used the product for about a week now, but if the dryness and squeakiness continues I might reduce the rating to reflect the three.

I started washing my face with literal mud and my acne cleared up. What is up with that?I still get breakouts, but not like I used to. This stuff is great! Just don't expect a nice smell...
