Very pleased with this good quality item. Easy to assemble without any tools being needed. However I would caution any potential buyer to check the measurements to ensure it will fit into your shower leaving you enough room to manoeuvre.

Great chair for those less mobile - good design

I'm very pleased with this chair. My 92 year old mum is now too unsteady on her feet to stand in the shower or use the stool that she previously had. This gives me confidence that she's not going to fall whilst in the shower and because of the design of the chair she's able to wash herself properly without having to get out of it. The only reason I haven't given it five stars is because the feet are not non-slip. The chair does work its way to the end of the shower cubicle (hers is a long cubicle) by the end of her shower. It's very stable though and there's no possibility of it tipping over. Generally very pleased and would recommend

I bought this to replace the stupid 'one size fits all' wet shower room chair on wheels that Social Services supplied to my disabled wife. Their idea of the ideal chair for sitting in a shower on was just a bit too large to fit! Social Services got their one back after I phoned them and suggested they come and pick it up and, instead, my wife now uses this smaller shower chair with much more confidence. Easy (for me) to assemble and the adjustable height legs are a bonus. As my wife's full-time carer, sometimes I have to look for more appropriate apparatus for her needs outside of the Social Services and disability shops' enclave and, it worked well this time.

Bought with the added knowledge it held 500lbs which is by far superior than some of the others that were on offer when browsing. Firstly the fact it boasts holding such a weight would make you think the rest of the chair would be suitably built for a disabled plus size user but NO! It claims to hold that weight yet is built for someone no more than 140lbs as its very narrow and small. Added to this is that its seriously uncomfortable being solid plastic blocks making up the seat and furthermore it is in no way useful for aiding a disabled person in the shower. Very frustrating considering it was nearly £95.00 to buy!! Shop around and don’t be blinded by the big bold features of the chair because they don’t amount to anything— the only plus is the weight limit!
