I added these to my Napolean 500 RSIB grill to fix a design flaw in Napolean grills. My grill had a problem with uneven heating ( the burners are too far apart, and too low). I placed 4 rows of aluminum channel on top of the burner tents. Napolean grills have seven heat tents, but only 4 sit above a burner. I removed the three useless heat tents, and placed these ceramic plates neatly arranged across the support rails. I used several packages of these to get thorough coverage. The plates now allow me to cook anywhere on the grill with even heating.

I ordered 24 of these ceramic bricks as two 12-packs. All of the bricks arrived undamaged and well-packaged. Plus, the bricks are thicker than 1/2". They are more like 3/4" thick, which is 50% thicker. Hopefully this will give me more heat retention and durability . The outer Amazon box was kind of beat up. But the inner product boxes were perfect. All the bricks survived. A+ for packaging.

Although the description lists these flame tamers as 1/2" thickness, they are closer to 9/16". This is great because the original ones in my Grand Turbo are also 9/16", so these are an EXACT replacement part. Very pleased!
