Welpac Chow Mein Stir-Fry Noodles, 6 Ounce (Pack of 12)

These are the very best noodles for Chinese food. No one here in Florida in my county carried them so I was delighted to find them on Amazon. Don’t overcook them.

Gave these a shot as there are not may options for chow mein noodles that are egg free. I have a young toddler that is highly allergic to egg so it's been tough finding alternatives. These are surprisingly good in taste and texture for our needs. One suggestion I'd make is to cook these very al dente if you're planning to drop them into a stir fry. Package says to boil for 3mins but from personal experience, that produces a very wet and soggy stir fry. If you cook it for 1minute, drain and then finish it off in the stir fry, it comes out perfectly.

Okay, this is definitely a noodle-lover's review as I am highly critical in my reviews as the quality of the noodle is at least 50% the quality of a noodle-based meal for me.The fact is, these noodles will vary in reviews based on how one chooses to prepare them. I like these best for pan-fried, crunchy noodle preparation as I believe though tasty, it is a bit heavy for an "in broth" like preparation for me. These noodles have some girth and weight to them, meaning they can easily over-whelm a dish if their contribution isn't considered. They are high in protein which I enjoy as a weight-lifter, and have a fantastic 'eggy' quality that adds to their luxury as they are a bit pricy in individual sale. This bulk-box is by far the best deal I have found and is something I re-purchase regularly.My preparation: Steam in colander over boiling water until softened. Boil in water for 15-20 seconds (yes, seconds) or until desired doneness is achieved. Fry in shallow, high-heat-tolerant oil and flip after slightly browned to achieve 'pan-fried' crispiness and drain excess oil atop a paper-towel. Fin! Hope this helps.

I stock a lot of noodles and pasta in my pantry. I dont wait until I want to make something to go to the store and buy it. I make according to what I have on hand more often than not. And every once in awhile I like a good Asian noodle bowl full of veggies and some delicious sauce. Usually includes toasted sesame oil. I love the texture of this brand, so it is a repurchase for sure. I bought this in a big pack, and will consider buying more sooner over later. Food shortages (and increased prices) are upon us, so I try to pick up a few extra goodies here and there on sale and/or in bulk. Stuff like this lasts a long time, so I am not at all concerned with expiration dates.

Found these in a local grocery store. My littlest is so into noodles and we have to try very new brand he sees. Well! He fell in love. Then we couldn’t always find them. He was so frustrated. I turned to Amazon and voila! Sold by the box. Not necessarily budget friendly but so household friendly. Easy and quick. Great chew. Stir fry, soups or served plain with butter. Mommyluvs. Would recommend if you don’t mind the price

These noodles turned out very well despite some low ratings. I cooked them al dente, not the 3 minutes as recommended in the instructions. When they have dried a little, I mixed them with homemade garlic-infused oil to prevent further drying and also prevent them from sticking together in one big lump. This gave me time to prepare toppings/sauce. The texture and mouthfeel is quite good. And it took on very well the sauce and toppings. I am so glad that they do not taste like instant noodles at all. Now that it is summer, I will be using them for Chinese-style cold summer noodles that doesn’t require any stir-frying or hot oil.
