Would not buy!
This carb leaks gas all over the place. I regret spending money on this.

Wors straight out of the box!
Had issues with old carb and replaced it with this one. Only adjusted idle speed. Installed this on a 1966 Chevy 292L6. Now my old truck is happy again and running like a champ! Very satisfied!!!

put it on a 1965 c10 with a 250 6 cylinder and it runs perfect

Leaks fuel badly
Update 2 October:The seller contacted me after seeing this review with some suggestions on fixing the carburetor. None of these were feasible so they sent me another carb. Between them trying to help and then sending out a second carb I bumped it up to two stars. The reason for not going higher is the new carb leaks even worse than the first they sent. The truck did actually start and sort of run with the second one after I reset the float heights and cleaned all the casting debris out of the body but I was never able to get it to idle down below 2k. Runs extremely rich off idle and when I'd eat it backed off enough to switch to idle circuit it floods the engine to death.I'm a master automotive tech but swallowedy pride and took it to another shop. After 6 hours messing with it they gave up too. We did find there are several design changes internally from the original Rochester, most looked like improvements but we're thinking one of the changes caused an issue with fuel metering.I had high hopes for this carburetor when I opened the box up. The castings looked good and have a nice finish. Linkages felt nice and free without slop. Overall it looked like a good carburetor.I had to chase the threads in the carb to get the vacuum fitting to thread in. I wouldn't usually complain about something that simple but this is a very shallow hole. In my case I had to grind off 1/8" of my pipe tap to get it to go deep enough to clean them up.Be sure to check the settings on this carb before trying to start the engine, they had the one I received opened up 4 turns. Also check for leaks immediately after engine start. The carb I received was pouring gas out around the throttle shaft and accelerator pump. Not a good thing on any engine but with the I6 these are made for that gas is going straight on the e hot exhaust manifold. Keep a fire extinguisher handy if you buy one of these carbs.Unless I'm mistaken you can't ship a carb after it's had fuel in it so I'm stuck with it. I haven't bothered doing a teardown and seeing if it can be repaired. Could be a simple fix but a leaky throttle shaft is why I was replacing the factory carb. I don't have time to drill it out for bushings so had hoped I could bolt on a fresh carb, no such luck with this one.For reference if it matters this is on a 1967 292 in a two ton truck.
