Worth every penny spent. The kettle in our house is used multiple times daily and this one is so well made I can tell it will last for years. The base and sides are continuous so no leaking seams. The handle is a true "stay cool" material so no potholder needed even when the water is boiling. The whistle mechanism is simple with no pieces to fall out and can easily be switched to no-whistle mode with the flick of a thumb. The finish is lovely and seems to be chip-resistant so far. If you want a hard use kettle this is the one for you.

Update: The whistle stopped working after a month. I’ve had it about a week. I make tea 1 to 2 times a day. The water boils quickly. It’s heavy duty so you can feel the weight but it’s easy to use. It is beautifully made. I absolutely love the color - Caribbean (my favorite part of the world too). It stands out on the stove. My couch is this color and I have big windows with views of Lake Michigan which is that color on a beautiful sunny day. Love it!

This is a great product. only lost a star because of the stickers to remove leave alot of residue and is hard to remove. do not use a scratch pad will damage the finish.

The media could not be loaded. Very disappointed! I have owned a Le Creuset kettle for many years prior to this one with no issues. With this one the plastic around the whistle started melting periodically. Now it has melted to the point that it won’t stay open and simply flops around. I want to return this malfunctioning item.
