NatrapelEssential Oil Insect Repellent - Herbal Scent (2 Pack)

I’m not sure if it’s are awful, Texas, mosquitoes, or wet. But this did not seem to work very well for us the end of the summer.

I don’t care for DEET-based repellents, so an Essential-oil based product is much more appealing. This comes in a narrow in a 4 ounce aluminum bottle with a pump sprayer. It's non-aerosol, and the ~7" x ~1.25" profile is an easy size to slip into a bag or suitcase. My order included two bottles for about $20, which seems like a reasonable price for a good quality natural product.The main ingredient is soybean oil, but the active ingredients are rosemary oil, cedarwood oil, geranium oil, thyme oil and clove oil. These ingredients make it smell "fresh" and herbal. In addition, there is some vanillan and so it does have a slight vanilla-y scent to it. Generally, I don't like to wear scented products, but this one doesn't bother me because it smells natural, not fragranced/perfume-y.I’ve used this a few times now and it works as well as other repellents I’ve used before. The upside is that it feels a lot better for me and is an easy size to take along.

Pure oil ..never dry very uncomfortable..what is this mineral oil?

- Seems Efficacious - I have been going for walks every evening and one evening came back with a lot of mosquito bites. So I use before walking now, so far after a week or 2 no new mosquito bites. It could be a coincidence or it could be because this is working well.- Subpar Dispensing Spray - The spray is a forceful concentrated spray. So basically it will do a powerful single stream spray that is forceful and will splash somewhat back. I wish either this was a mist or just an oil application. Because of this, I just do it against my hand and rub it around my skin.- Nice Ingredients - Really like that these are all natural oils.- Neutral smell - There is a significant medium strength herbal type smell. It is neither good nor bad, so I don't mind it.

The blend of essential oils such as citronella, lemongrass, and peppermint creates an aromatic and refreshing scent that is pleasant to humans but effectively deters insects. I appreciate that this herbal fragrance is a non-toxic and environmentally friendly product. It does not leave a sticky residue on the skin and is quickly absorbed and makes your skin feel comfortable and moist. It keeps bugs away. There were times when I reapplied it every two hours, depending on the density of the insects.

It worked well for an essential oils repellent. I've been going away from deet lately to safer alternatives (and I feel deet isn't even working great anymore). This by itself or with picaridin seems to be working as good or even better. I'm happy with it and love that it's a NH company.

On the 4th of July we were eaten alive by mosquitos. I'm so excited not to have horrible bites anymore. This insect repellant smells really good. It's an oil you "spray" onto your skin and rub it in. It's not an aerosol, and it squirts more than it sprays but it rubs in easily.

Works okay in my opinion so I believe it is worth the money.
