Improves Skimming Power – Simple but Effective Upgrade
The Skimmie Cyclone has really improved how well my pool skimmer pulls in surface debris. The 7" funnel design helps turbocharge the water flow, making it easier to catch leaves, bugs, and other floating junk before they settle on the pool’s surface. It works great even when the water level fluctuates, which is perfect for my outdoor pool during the hot summer months.Installation was straightforward, and the product feels sturdy and well-made. I love that it fits snugly inside the skimmer basket and helps my pool look cleaner with less effort.Important Tip: Be sure to check your skimmer basket size before ordering to ensure a perfect fit!Overall, if you want an easy, effective way to boost your skimmer’s performance and improve pool surface cleaning, The Skimmie Cyclone is a great choice!

The best skimmer system in the pool world.
The Skimmie Cyclone is a great product. Once installed it started to circulate the water rapidly through the skimmer! I have used so many different products during my 20 years of owning a pool and by far this is the Best tool to circulate water, keep the pool clearer and cleaner and improve the filter water pressure! In addition, Monica, the owner, was kind enough to ship me another Cyclone with zip ties to keep it attached to the skimmer in case of turbulence.

Works as advertised but I have mixed feelings
This is an interesting product for sure, and it does work, but not as well as I would have hoped.Let's start with the good. When properly installed it will cause a vortex to form in your skimmer basket. This serves a couple of practical purposes. First it allows you to run your skimmer at a lower flow rate and still suck debris down into the basket. This allows me to divert more suction to my auto pool vac. Secondly, and more importantly, the vortex allows the skimmer to easily suck in the dust and light debris that floats on thr top of the water that just has a tendency to float at the top of your skimmer and not get sucked down. The product works well and accomplishes both of those goals. However, this is not without drawbacks. Most notably, it requires removal of the flap found in most skimmers, otherwise the vortex will flat out just not form, or in my case, when the product is installed upright it physically touches and interferes with the operation of the flap. This is a bit problematic because this flap is there for a reason, to effectively concentrate the skimmers suction to thr top most layer of water, to maximize the range it is able to suck in debris from the top of the pool. To you know, skim the surface. While the vortex does help contract this somewhat, the effect is that objects must get much closer to the skimmer to actually get sucked in. However, it does solve my problem of removing the fine dust particles that tend to float on thr top of the water which was the major reason I bought it.One other thing to note is that at least for my pool, I can only really make use of this product in the up right position. I'm sure that like most pool products this was probably made with larger in ground pools skimmers in mind where mine is an above ground. The result is that when this product is placed in my basket cone down, it's really difficult to get it to form a proper cyclone. The water level is either too high, but if I lower it, the cyclone will form but it then has a tendency to suck in air because the water level ends up so low in my skimmer that any waves in the pool drop the water level in the skimmer to dangerously low levels. But again, I think this has more to do with the design of my particular basket.Over all it works as advertised, but it's not the pancea I was hoping it would be. Solved one problem but caused another.

If you want a clean pool surface
Works amazingly! With the help of these gadgets both of our pool skimmers completely keep the pool surface clean, including during a recent storm. I went to check on the pool and the skimmers were full of all the debri from the storm. They do appear quality, however I feel they are over priced, they are a simply plastic. 20 dollars a piece.. eh, should have been 20 for 2 cyclones. One tip: zip tie the cyclone to your skimmer basket. Otherwise when you go to remove the two the cyclone comes off first releasing everything that was trapped in the skimmer basket. Would I recommend these, YES!

This surprised me....IT WORKED!
I have to say that I was skeptical. My pool has long had a skimming problem. The fine leaves and pods from my mesquite trees would form a layer on top of the pool. The skimmer would pick up the fine leaves for about 10 minutes and then form a layer at the top of the skimmer that would prevent further material from being captured. This "cyclone" plastic device creates a whirling motion that breaks up the surface layer and pulls the fine material into the skimmer basket! What a difference!

Pool is free of floating debris, with little cost or added work.
The media could not be loaded. We had bugs and debris floating everywhere. Facebook, YouTube and the pool stores all recommended a solar powered skimmer which would clean up anything floating about. I didn’t want to spend $1K on it. Just by chance I found the Skimmie on Amazon. For the cost I couldn’t go wrong trying it.The Skimmie sits on the skimmer basket and creates a whirlpool which pulls in whatever is floating on the surface. I couldn’t believe how well it worked. It appeared that the dead bugs were lining up to be pulled into the skimmer. The Skimmie works better than advertised. Our pool is pollen and bug free!

Skimmie Cyclone has been a great addition to my pool maintenance routine
Skimmie Cyclone ReviewThe Skimmie Cyclone has been a great addition to my pool maintenance routine. It effectively enhances the skimmer's performance by creating a vortex that draws in debris, significantly reducing the amount of manual skimming I need to do. Like many other users, I've noticed a cleaner pool surface with less effort. Although some people mention needing to adjust it daily, I've found that securing it with a zip tie resolves this issue. Overall, I'm very satisfied with its performance and would recommend it to other pool owners looking to simplify their cleaning process.
