This battery was bought to replace an original Kobalt battery. It appears to work well and I look forward to some long service out of it.

I bought this as a spare to the single battery that came with my Kobalt leaf blower. I was expecting just an inexpensive upgraded battery from the original 4.0Ah to the replacement 6.0Ah. When I opened the box I was amazed at the fact that it looked Identical but the edges of the plastic felt smoother and the buttons you press to remove it from the tool worked much smoother. After I charged the battery and went to install it, I slid in better that the original battery, it also removed smoother. Because it is a higher capacity battery it does last longer. ( how much longer varies on how you use the tool you have it attached to ) Overall I am very happy I made this purchase. This higher capacity battery 6.0Ah is pretty much the same cost as the original Kobalt battery 4.0Ah from the big box store, but the outside is way better quality and you get a higher capacity battery. I would not hesitate to purchase another.

Charged it worked on first charge ran flashlight no problem went dead will not recharge have 2 different charge and multiple kobalt batteries they recharge on either chargers this one does nothing don't recommend

Used on all my kobalt tools.Drill, 1/2 impact and Sawzall. I'll buy more after I see the longevity.

This battery is a perfect fit for my kobalt tools. I have charged it and used it in my drill and wet vac already. It has a LONG life and seems to charge faster than some other batteries I have had in the past.

Good product

This battery is similar in size and weight to the 4.0ah battery, not the 6.0ah (see photos). It's slightly shorter and taller than the OEM battery, and about the same weight. Also, there are small vent holes on the top and bottom of the OEM battery that don't exist on this one. I'm not sure how that will affect battery longevity, but it's a noticeable difference.I haven't had a chance to test battery life to compare to the 4.0ah battery that came with my drill, but based on the size and weight of the battery, this one seems to be a 4.0ah mislabeled to a 6.0ah.That said, even if it's a 4.0ah, it's still a deal. At regular prices, its roughly 25% cheaper than the OEM battery (As of this writing. Sale prices may erase most, of not all, of that difference).
