Piloncillo Panela, Brown Sugar Cane, Size No. 2,3 From CandyMax (1 Pound)

We really enjoy type of sugar, unfortunately we didn’t receive a full order.

This piloncillo was very fresh, not dried or hard like what I buy at the grocery store. I used the piloncillo to make puerquitos and cafe de ollo. It was too sticky to grind with my food processer, so I took out the molcajete and was able to get the consistency I needed for the pan dulce. I WILL order this again.

In case the listing pictures are mislearing anyone, there are 3 cones, and each is 6oz. There is also about an ounce of sugar rubble in the bag.It's a good dark color, and it arrived quickly.

I don't know how to assess the appropriate price for such a thing but this is good piloncillo.

I was very excited to order this as it is supposed to be great sugar. I was looking forward to trying it. I thought the pieces would be smaller but they are quite large- I need 1/4 cup size. First I tried my best strongest knife and it did not even make a dent in it. Then I tried smacking it against my tile floor. Nothing. You need dynamite to break it up, apparently. I tried to ask the seller to refund me or let me return it- he said no at first and told me to try a hammer. The second time he told me I would need to prepare my own shipping label since they didn't have any. With no further instructions like an address.BUYER BEWARE

A perfect size for making tempache about the size of candles but a great size to cook with and wonderfully useful. Great quantity and quality

So good. We made empanadas with this and they were amazing. The bag comes with alot.

I bought this for a friend who grew up making coffee using these. She was delighted, but it must be a nostalgic thing. It’s expensive for clumped brown sugar and the cinnamon is hardly detectable.I make my own mixture & freeze it in ice cube trays. That way I can create the stronger flavors that I love without the one-note-sweetness.
