Worth the money
Bought in February after a tonne of research and comparing different toothbrushes. As it was on sale, still expensive though, I thought I'd give it a go. I am not disappointed! Great toothbrush, lots of different settings, really good battery life - full charge lasts a week with brushing twice per day. My teeth somehow feel cleaner after using this - old electric toothbrush was a more basic Oral-B model. The Intense & Whitening modes really have made a difference, I've noticed my teeth are less discoloured with just a basic whitening toothpaste, and I get that super fresh & clean feeling. I like the fact it gives a smiley face with stars for eyes after brushing properly, and an unhappy face after brushing unsatisfactory! I totally recommend this toothbrush.

Worth a Splurge
With NHS Dentists in the UK being as common as Unicorns these days, you have to take your dental care into your own hands.I wasn't sure that spending so much on a toothbrush would be worth it but the results speak for themselves. The IO range is difficult to navigate as they have multiple models which all look the same. The IO7 seems to be the first of the more premium IO models. It's stand out features compared to the io6 and below are:A faster charger (just 3 hours!) which is also magnetic and looks much nicer than those older white chargers with them stem. This is why I chose this over the io6A screen to help choose your cleaning mode and provides feedback on your brushing. This is good for menu navigation but the smiley faces are bit of a gimmick.Otherwise you get an extra cleaning mode but all these really do is make the brush spin faster or slower or in a different pattern. In terms of the core cleaning capability, this should have the same cleaning power as the more expensive models. You're just missing out on a dedicated tongue cleaning mode and more accurate tracking capabilities in the Oral-B app which I personally have no interest in. The app is fun to try once but gets old very quickly. In terms of brushing performance, this really is next level. You actually do get that 'just been to the hygienist' smooth tooth feeling after every brush. The powerful motor and the excellent brush heads really do a great job. I wouldn't want to use anything else now.The brush heads will need to be replaced every three months and can appear quite expensive but when the clean is this good, they're worth paying for.Highly recommended.

Expensive but worth it.
After a lifetime of having few dental issues, age and medication causing dry mouth, began to affect my gums and general mouth, which in turn has led to frequent and expensive visits to the hygienist. I struggle with conventional flossing and brushes, so tried a Philips water flosser, which has helped, but I was advised to buy an Oral B io brush. I almost fainted at the prices, but soon realised you have to bide your time to get one at a discount, which almost everywhere seems to do at various times. Let’s face it, who is going to spend £400 plus on a brush! After a bit of research, I thought an io 6 or 7 would do. I found an excellent comparison website which basically said, all the io series are as good as each other - you are just paying for more features the higher up you go in the range and the more you pay. The 6 has the same 5 cleaning modes as the 7, but has a standard charger that can take up to 12 hours or more to charge, whereas the 7 has a magnetic charger which does a full charge in 3 hours or less.So the io7 came on sale at £159 with 5 months Amazon interest free payments, so I went for it.Well … didn’t think I’d say it, but it’s worth every penny!!!After the very first use, my teeth and mouth felt like they do after the hygienist has been in there for half an hour! And the best part was after 3 weeks of use and another visit to the hygienist, she could see a huge improvement in plaque control and reduction in gum pockets, which has already led to reduced appointments and saved me money! This particular bundle is I think the best value as you get the handle, 3 brush heads and a hard case all for £159 ( at time of review) Last week it had gone up to over £300 so get one now while it’s back on offer. My daughter has just bought one and she loves it.The app was easy to download and the brush connected via Bluetooth instantly. Then when you use it, you get an animation of a set of teeth and somehow, the brush knows where it is in your mouth and informs the app. It’s actually quite fun to use and see the animations change colour as you clean, until you get sparkling white. So far, I’ve used the daily clean mode and the sensitive mode. A word of warning though, I went a bit overboard at first and was cleaning 3 times a day, which was too much and after 2 days, gums became very sore. Switching to the sensitive mode then helped and twice a day was fine. After a few days, everything calmed down. I think it’s because it’s such a thorough clean.I’m now a convert to the io series. The proof of improvement n such a short time amazed me and has saved me money in dental fees. The site I used said they all clean to the same standard, so even if you can’t afford a higher range model, just get one of the basics as they’ll do the same job as well as the most expensive. Hope this helps.
