Asus good as it gets before.....
This panel is literally about as good as it gets in terms of picture quality before you eventually make the move to OLED.I'm an OLED guy, owning two OLED TVs currently but had a few in the past. I haven't moved to OLED PC gaming panels yet due to them not providing anywhere near the protections against burn-in as there TV counterparts. So until that day, this is more than good enough and in some ways better as it's considerably brighter than those oled panels. It's worth noting to any new buyer that there is an update available for this panel which clears up issues around scanlines etc so please ensure you update. As for your basics, this panel excels in fast motion, strong colours, and very good almost OLED like performance in dark areas owning to the MINI LEDs and the backlight control (leave in Auto). The control panel is the usual samsung affair, with all the controls needed. Ensure you turn on the VRR option to link the panel refresh speed to the GPUs refresh rate.Overall I am impressed with this panel, and highly recommend it to those who are on the cusp of buying a high end panel but not wanting to risk OLED just yet. This is the panel to get. Now, there's some bad news but that may be a one off or depend on the supplier.I recently bought another panel yet this time it arrived in terrible condition and had to be returned. This has become a bit of a well known issue across Amazon recently were returned items are being sent out as new. Hopefully this practice does not continue.Either way, this panel is very very good, and will keep up with anything you throw at it (not literally at it....you get what I mean).I'm sure the new model will be along shortly, but this is a good one to get before it shoots back up to £1400.

Once set-up, it's amazing
Pro's-------* It's lovely.* Incredible for gaming.* Awesome and helps you be more productive. That's not a throw away comment. I provide network / server / infrastructure support and it's an amazing screen to use to manage my customers networks and systems. The ease at which I can move my open applications around, and have the main app in the middle and the supporting apps each side, makes this screen a real benefit .Con's--------* It's so expensive! It took an age to build up the courage to buy it.* Make sure your equipment is compatible.* It was a pain to set-up.* Windows 11 is a must to get the best from the HDR.* My other two screens are suffering from contrast / brightness issues since I added this. Tweaking their OSD has made no difference, although I have not had time to have a more in-depth look. I had no problems when I had four separate screens (but I still would not change the current set-up with the Neo).* I thought the screen was broken as I couldn't get it to work, until I found my graphics card has a Primary DP socket I needed to plug this into. I also have a primary HDMI - who knew!Summary========Overall, and despite the expense, I think this was a great buy. I'm not a massive gamer any more, but I still dabble and love playing on it. However, the improvement in productivity and sheer pleasure I get from using it, is more than I expected. I assumed it would be good, but it's actually great! I would love a second to go above it, but I think that would probably be excessive, and I don't think I could find an arm to hold it up that high. With that in mind, I got the Ergotron HX for screen size up to 49", and it is worth the extra money.

Stunning monitor in SDR and HDR.
Amazon purchase. Best monitor I have seen yet. The curve is wonderful, first time having a curve and you have to see it to believe it. Do it.Mini LED which blows away IPS for me and it’s a VA panel but response and refresh at least on Nvidia are top notch. Zero bleed, perfect blacks, colour is good enough. Brightness can go up to blinding. Good OSD. It auto switches source, at least one way, easy to update firmware, this came with 1007.LED stuff is really good and the white is cold white, not warm, if you are looking for a clean white build. Lights all turn off when your monitor goes to sleep.I found these settings suit windows 11 and gaming. Vibrant with deep blacks.Picture Mode - CustomBrightness - 50Contrast - 75Sharpness - 60Saturation - 50Colour - naturalContract enhancer - Always onLocal Dimming - Always autoGamma - 1Refresh rate - HighestAdaptive Sync - OnBlack Equalizer - 13Buy it, especially at this price: £599.99. If it wasn’t for cheaper materials and the power brick, which is ridiculously big. It would be worth a grand.Enjoy!
