I am really disappointed in the lock specifically in this package, completely unreliable and will potentially leave you stranded with a locked bike.I tried the lock before using it on my bike and my initial impression was that it felt a bit cheap and fiddly, but it locked and opened with a bit of jiggling most of the time.The first time I used it on the bike, it locked absolutely fine, but when I needed to remove it the following morning it would not release.After 2 hrs of repeatedly trying to unlock it, just at the point of hunting out my angle grinder, it finally did open. I didn't do anything different to the previous attempts, but it finally came off.I have tried it again in isolation and yet again it will not open.I would suggest most people are considering buying this because it appears to be value for money in comparison to other similar products, but my experience of this is you get what you pay for. So I will return it as defective and buy a more reputable brand.

Brought these all together as it was cheaper than separate items drill size needed to be 1mm bigger otherwise good item quickly delivered.

Chain ok, but lock itself has a plastic casing, which is OK as it just covers the lock itself. But the monumental fail on this particular lock, depends on which way round the 'C" part is inserted in the barrel. One way is fine, the other way (rotated180 degrees), inserts and locks, but cannot be unlocked!!!! And it remains locked. Angle grinder time.

The anchor works perfectly and is of solid construction, the chain matches that of the anchor, solid rust proof well welded chain, the installation is fool proof as well.Now the bad, the lock pin (that slots into the locking mechanism) is very beefy and well protected however the lock housing is absolutely pathetic, it feels gritty and weak from day one, the only positive thing to be said about the lock is that when it eventually stops being opened by the key, it only takes one swing from a small hammer to smash it into 100 pieces and remove it and replace with something worthy.Buy this kit for the chain and the anchor and discard the lock, I feel the lock is so poor that your insurance will be more using it than not.

It broke after the 2nd use when I chained up my bike at work, and I was unable to unlock it, the key would just turn without engaging the lock. And because it's hardened steel it couldn't be easily sawed through. I had to get a locksmith out to take it apart and was a waste of money. Since then I have bought a magnum lock and chain and have had no issues so don't buy cheap.
