Loon Outdoors SNAKE RIVER MUD, 1/4 oz

I use this on all my new fluorocarbon furled leaders to remove the shine and to help it sink faster. Works very well.

I bought this to try and get my smaller tippet under the water, especially on my dropper flies that sometimes have a pesky habit of floating (even with their bead heads!).Loon makes some great products, and the Payette Paste is absolutely essential to each and every trip. But Snake River Mud just doesn't work. I tried lovingly rubbing it on my fingers and then applying to the tippet (we're talking size 6, so pretty tiny stuff anyhow!), and no change (if anything, it might have floated...).I tried being a little more aggressive with it and applying larger potions right to the line. Still floating on the surface until I animate the fly.Then I tried dumping tons on the fly and line. No discernible change.If there's a trick to this product, I haven't figured it out. But I can't imagine that a simple product needs a 40 page manual, so this is pretty much it.It's also worth noting that the packaging and the container don't indicate how it can and should best be used. Like, no directions at all. Y'all know what you're doing most of the time, Loon- get back in gear and fix this.

Makes flies sink faster. Definitely noticeable specially for unweighted or lightly weighted nymphs

Great product for degreasing your tippet for a better dry fly presentation. The seller Avidmax is the best. Every time I buy from them I'm always satisfied.

When I got the product the mail lady knocked on my door and said I had to pay like 10 dollars to actually take my item because the shipping was not correct and this really made me mad because it was a good price!

I never thought stuff like this made a difference but boy was i wrong! This river mud works awsome!!

It does not stay on the line. It doesn't pack well on the line(5X and 6X tippet)
