I got an ever growing collection of Lithium and NiMH batteries, and this gives me a great way to be sure how well they are holding up. I bought this one as it claimed to offer the ability to charge a battery from Zero Volts. I have a collection of these too from a dead battery bank. Sadly not ONE actually started charging, so they should claim it starts batteries from below one volt. Once they hit zero these things don't come back.

Charger recognizes AA Li-ion as 3.70 volts. It shows that the battery is currently at 4.20 volts. The battery is actually at 1.5 volts. The battery an AA Zepath rechargeable 1.5v

I would like to add two things to the first review by another customer.1. It appears it is possible so manually set the charge rate for each slot. It's in the manual but it's not very clear. But just go through the standard process of inserting your batteries and select the charge rate. Now switch to the slot you wish to change the rate on and hold the MODE button until "Charge" is blinking. Charging will restart and you can select the charge rate. This should make it possible to select different charge rates for all four slots. What you can't seem to do it mix between auto and manual. It's either one or the other it appears.Again it's in the manual; but comes off more a hidden feature easily missed.2. The LCD backlight will shut off after a short time until you press a button. If one wants to leave it on..long press the slot #1 button when the backlight is on. The backlight will now remain on.

Works ok, but makes a big spark every time I connect the AC plug to the wall, which means is drawing a lot of current, when I mean big spark it makes you afraid, the sound is also scary, most likely is the power supply that came with the unit. Very disappointing,Can’t recommend this producto since is a safety hazard. Sad, I wanted to like this unit.

Nice charger. Plenty of options for charging. You can choose the desired current to charge the battery safely. Has the test option, and refresh and repair features. One thing I do not like, is in manual mode you can not adjust the current for each slot. Whatever amperage you choose for one slot it will be the same for all other slots. I recommend to charge same type of batteries at once. Mixing different types of batteries is only recommend ed if you will use the auto setting. I am very happy with it. I used it a lot of times and works perfect. Does not overcharge the batteries, does not get them hot and stops automatically when the batteries are charged. It has a beep to let you know the end of charge. I recommend this charger. One thing to notice is the size. It is a bit larger than all other chargers in the market, but it fits a large variety of batteries. Buy it and you will be very happy.
