EDIFIER S351DB 2.1 Speaker System Subwoofer and Bookshelf Satellite Speakers Bluetooth v4.1 aptX

I had reservations about this one since there didn't seem to be much difference between it and other products in their range. But boy am I happy I took the plunge.- Incredibly sturdy build. The woofer has fallen off a chest of drawers onto a hard floor and wasn't even scrratched.- Insanely good sound. Both highs and lows.- Bass is on point with zero delay- Provided cables are long, (each is at least 2m), which is rare for a 2.1 system- Remote feels good quality and works well- Easy controls and setup- Digital In works like a charm- Perfect for Gaming or FilmJust get it. If you want a 2.1 system, just a get it.

The build quality on this item for the price point is on point, really good and the attention to detail is punching well above its weight, apart from the remote.The sound quality is very good, via Bluetooth its not as good as AUX or Vinyl, I listened to a mixture of songs across all 3 packages and in bluetooth the instrument separation isn’t as good as the vinyl or AUX especially seen if you listen to a song with a higher pitch voice the vocals drown out the instrument and ends up being quite muddled. Don’t get me wrong it sounded good but there was an obvious difference between the 3. AUX and Vinyl being the better of the 2.Would be nice if the frequency response was a little better, only going as low as 40Hz, the norm for this class is usually 20Hz, just feels like its missing a bit of the warmth you get when listening to music, however the valve pre amp for vinyl does bring some warmth back. But overall it’s a small complaint to have about the speakers.Hooked up to the TV when watching moves or normal TV is pleasant, in movies that low down punchy bass from the 8’’ woofer really brings it into a league of its own for the price. If you’re replacing a sound bar with this you will be impressed.The low down punchy bass when listing to music is also very nice, no distortion which is to be expected having a dedicated woofer, the sort of bass that you feel in your chest is the bass that this delivers. If your bass heavy like me, then you will be impressed by the woofers performance.This system is pushing above its weight class for the price, yes you can get better sound bars or systems but for the price I don’t believe you can.

Did a lot of research on this system, read a lot of not so good reviews, but went for the purchase anyway.I live in a converted chapel where the acoustics are what you would expect from a place of worship, superb sound stage.I was initially worried that the emanating sound would be lost or bounce around the building. I initially bout a £600 LG Sound Bar and Sub-woofer with the intention of coupling it with my existing Edifier bookshelf speakers. It did work but the sound from the sound bar just didn't cut the mustard!The S351DB is a wonderful system. Sub woofer has a great bass sound, really makes the most of the soundtrack, music and feel on films tv and just audio.The two small bookshelf satellites have sufficient oomph! to get to grips with the remainder of the output. Giving a full stereo experience which enhances my OLED tv. The active Bookshelf speaker has a Bass and Treble control together with a volume control which can help you balance the sound.As I said earlier, I also paired this system with my other Edifier speakers giving me 'surround sound' which really puts you in the centre of the experience.Best of all is the great price point, this system is worth every penny.

Firstly the original S351DB 2.1 I had in my inbox (not from this supplier) increased in price the day I wanted to buy it by £30 which is something I hate Amazon. So after a brief search I found this used item. The item condition was described as 'very good' and the seller reviews were really good so I bought it. After the purchase I was a little nervous buying this used. The item came 36 hours after purchase, it was packaged as a brand new item and wow there is not a scratch on it. It came with new cables and looks brand new and I saved a lot of money compared to the new price. I haven't set the item up yet as I am re-doing my home office over the next few days. I will report back on the sound quality, set up and usability although I expect it to be highly positive as I have upgraded to this from a Creative Pebble set up. *Update - the 2 speakers sit on my 150cm wide desk at each side of a 49 inch ultra-wide curved monitor powered by an M1 Mac mini via Bluetooth. I'm no audiophile but the sound quality is beautiful. The two desk mounted speakers are heavy presumably due to their quality and they look fantastic. The subwoofer is large and very heavy and sits nicely under my desk. Due to this system sitting on my desk I will never use it to it's maximum capability, though I did crank the volume right up and you would definitely need a large room to enjoy this on full power. I had a slight issue with the set up so I contacted the supplier through Amazon and they got back to me within a couple of minutes with the solution. The set up issue was nothing to do with the product just an over sight by me but and were very helpful.

The speakers are easy to be installed. The set up with 2 satellites and 1 subwoofer were what I’ve been looking for. The sound quality is high tech. To be honest with you, I don’t know the real potential of them. How is looking for a sound quality to listen to music ,play video game, watch movies etc. I strongly recommend it. It got earlier than I was expecting. It might be a little expensive however you will see that worth it.NoteYou will get impressed how heavy they are.
