Fix A Sinking Office Chair - No Gas Lift Cylinder or Tools Required - Replacement Office Chair Gas Lift Cylinder Alternative

So I bought a 600 dollar gaming chair fully believing it to be an investment I'll never have to replace. After two years the chair sinks and needs to have hard to find expensive parts for it. This small, easy to put on plastic clip prevents it from sinking. For 15 dollars you have saved me at least 150 bucks I would have spent buying an acceptable replacement to the chair or the time and money for the part. Maybe it doesn't have longevity, but man If I have to replace these once every 2 months it's still a deal. Though I don't believe I'll need to.

This product is great, took a few minutes and done, saved me a lot of hassles.

This is great.. saved taking apart the chair and replacing the piston or even buying a new chair. The only issue we had is that one popped off.. It did not break so my husband put it back on and secured it with Gorilla tape. Now the chair no longer does the slow sink.. so big thumbs up.

I saw all the bad reviews on Amazon, saying "it's a piece of junk, it's just plastic". But I did not want to order and change out a piston on my new nice sinking office chair, so I just went ahead and ordered it. I opened up the small bag from Amazon - and just like the reviews say - it looks like some little pieces of plastic junk. You have to gently spread them apart to go onto the piston on the bottom of the chair. I installed all three pieces, thinking to myself "well - it was only $15 bucks - let's see what happens". But its GREAT ! I plop my fat behind down on my office chair, and it NEVER SINKS. I am not careful sitting down - I just plop down, and I sit without thinking about it, and it's been working great. Just like their ad says - "no gas lift cylinder, or no tools required". And of course, no labor, except 30 seconds of turning the chair upside down to pop these on. And if they break in 2022 - well - I will buy another one. - I am totally satisfied !

Spent 11 bucks on these. Sure, they snap to the post and are a physical barrier, but they don't hold together all that well. Every time I come to the chair now I wince because I know there's a 50% chance this thing is going to come flying off and I'll get that wonderful falling sensation. I added super glue to no avail. I was on the verge of duct-taping the whole thing together when I stopped myself and said, "No, you know how to fix this. You should have spent $20 on a cylinder instead of $11 on some crap pieces of plastic that won't completely do the job."Do yourself a favor, just spend $9 more and buy yourself a piston instead. I've spent more time with these than I would have just popping a new one on. I'm putting this down as a mistake I'll never make again.
