Worth it!
A bit pricier compared to other brands, but the quality and benefits often justify the cost. Overall, Trill Budgie Food is a dependable and nutritious option for budgie care.

Pleased Budgie
We were running dangerously low on seed, just a few spoons left, and my little one is not keen on a lot of veggies or much else, has to have his seed. I think this supply will exceed a year..bbe is end of February next year, I am sure the local bird life can have a good feed also in the winter. I don't think we have had the nutrivit one before..green pellets through this? The price is about what I normally pay for a box, however I am stuck in the house now due to my health and our local shop doesn't sell Trill, and other sites were charging a fortune for one box..thanks this has been a literal lifesaver for my birdie during this crisis.

Good for recovering wild or baby birds pigeons
The seeds are a good mix of healthy tiny seeds different millets. These are small enough for baby song birdsAt 500g in a box with a handy side pourer these are not bad at all. The quality is consistent in different boxes. When I purchased bulk amounts the sell by dates were ample for me to use the product for my needs. More than a year. There are tiny little white horn shaped shells which crumble easily for added calcium. They contain added vitamins not found in seeds alone. They contain D3 for birds denied natural sunshine on their feathers to metabolise calcium.Good for wildlife rescues & vet clinics hospitalsWhen wild birds suffer a heavy load of Paratyphoid Salmonella they are often left with a damaged esophagus. It ends up very narrowed & they cannot swallow even sunflower hearts. People often believe they are unable to eat. These tiny seeds are a lifesaver for such birds. If you take in a small wild bird to assist in recovery, these seeds can be a god send. mixed with a little water they can be safer to put into the beak of birds with less chance of aspirating with liquid feeds.Parent birds don't feed young liquid.

I saved £0.77 a box buying in bulk/product is changed however
*Amazon Customer Service have been amazing, even after the 30 period they have offered us a full refund for our poor quality batch. I'm very pleased with the way my refund has been dealt with*----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Compared to local pet stores and large chain Pet supermarkets I saved over £0.77p per box getting this feed in bulk.Only good if you have enough birds to use it before it expires though.I used to prefer to use this seed as it tends to have much less dust, is highly polished and is superior to a lot of the stuff pet stores will sell you by weightUsed the older mixes over 20 years with nothing but healthy and happy birds.*NEW SEED MIX in 2014*Seems to state (on the box) when compared that there is half the added vitamin A compared to the old trill per kg and about the same reduction in vitamin D3 and E and Potassium iodide while having around 50 % more fat at 8 % v 4.3%.So If you are now purchasing the new seed mix with the differently designed top and front of the box, be aware that it looks more of a "conditioning seed" combo. This obviously looks different to the birds too who in my case are very used to traditional Trill and also it smells slightly stronger to me, although I did not eat it.It reminds me more of canary seed to look at in the hand- but it isn't quite that.I found it best introduced mixed 50/50 with the old trill for a few weeks before my birds got semi-used to it.The new mix is packaged in Australia is in a completely bulk sealed box and not part cellophaned at the top like the old bulk mix/boxes were.Best before dates are long at December 2015 for a September 2014 purchased box.The jury is still out for me on the new mix and I will update if I see more of my birds eating it as happily as they used to the old mix.I do feel I may have to find a new brand if they continue to act like i did as a child being forced to eat my peas.*Our birds eventually refused to eat this when we ran out of the old seed to mix in,we had to go out and pay full price for a different batch in a pet shop.*Check RRP before purchase*
