L'Oréal Paris Men Expert Hydra Energetic Aftershave Balm 100 ml

Thanks to Amazon yet again. Why this is so hard (indeed impossible) to find in shops is a mystery.I bought this product many years ago, from a retailer who’s name escapes me, and loved it from the time I popped the cap and plopped my first drops into the palm of my hand.Since then I’ve searched in various outlets (in the U.K. but sometimes in Europe) such as Waitrose, Boots, Superdrug, M&S, Asda, Tesco etc etc, constantly to no avail.Having searched a few times on Amazon again only failure was the result…… until finally….. BINGO.This product is brilliant,the reason I like it so much is because, although it does look a bit like hand sanitiser, it’s “Ice-Cool Effect” really works and DOSENT leave that slimey residue feeling I find you get with others that are white, such as the Nivea version for example.Slop some on post shave and it invigorates quickly leaving a lasting freshness and feeling of awakeness that’s not instantly diminished the moment you splash on your favourite aftershave (mine being Chanel Allure Homme) making this the perfect accompaniment.

This is the only cooling balm that works. Gillette used to have a good one but no longer sell in the UK.This is my go to every time!

First impression was a good one, because I opened the cap and the scent wasn't too strong. It felt a bit like alcohol.(Some people say it's too sticky... Wrong! If you don't put too much, it's not..)I had a small cut on my skin and even so, when I applied the liquid it didn't hurt at all. And the scent after applying (which first felt like alcohol), it felt like mint. My skin turned a bit red around the cut but the "red" colour faded in a few seconds.A minute after applying I could still feel a soft smell of mint and it felt a bit sticky.But after a few minutes my skin wasn't sticky anymore and it felt rather smooth.I definitely recommend it.

OK scent and fresh feel but this is a gel, not a balm.
