Super Fun Family Party Game
We had an absolute blast with this one! Telling stories about yourselves is a great way to learn about your friends and family, and trying to figure out who is lying is SO MUCH FUN! Highly recommended, especially this version - a Set that includes the original game with an added Expansion pack!

This was a great party game for our entire group. It kept everyone engaged and entertained. It was such a hit that we even passed the game onto another party the following weekend. Awesome and super fun to play. Made everyone laugh!

Fun game for the right audience
I play tested this game with my weekly gaming group. I found this game to be well designed and balanced. It looks like it plays anywhere from 3 to 14 players. The larger the group the better. It is a social game where each person is randomly assigned a role card to tell either the truth or a lie, and also receives five random topic cards. There is one "lie" role card. Each player, tells a personal story based upon one topic card. Then all the players have to guess who is telling the the lie. Each person gets 3 point if they vote for the liar. The truth tellers get one point for each person who votes that they told the lie. The liar gets 3 points if nobody votes that they lied.It is an interesting and fun game, especially for people who don't know each other very well. The hardest part is telling personal stories that are truthful, but sound like lies. I could totally see this game being great for large groups of friends and college students.

Good addition to the game cabinet.
Was easy to learn, but definitely wasn't our favorite game. This is probably better for people who dont know eachother super well.

It Depends on the Crowd
This is a fun game, but it definitely depends on the crowd on how your game play will go. With a diverse spread in ages there was a bit of difficulty for the preteen to bluff and hearing some of the stories during the game play prompts. In certain groups, especially with age differences and authority figures, you have to tiptoe the line of what's appropriate to say sometimes. Otherwise, this is an interesting ice breaker game that also works with longtime friends; our group didn't find it as easy to play with a mixed age crowd and would recommend that it be promoted as a game that younger players can also play together (but not really as a family if there are younger members playing). It was surprising how many life stories we didn't know about one another despite all being fairly close and was an upbeat way of getting to know each other even better with often funny stories and tangents. We struggled with a few of the parts of game play and think that a few tweaks would make it an easier game to follow. There is no way to track who voted, so if say a younger player doesn't want to admit to or remember who they voted for, it complicates things if you track the score. It would be handy if vote cards were in groups of colors or something like that. Despite a few difficulties, this is a great game while enjoying adult beverages and it's also very compact, so it's great for trips and can easily be played on a vacation during down time.
