Purchased this game after enjoying the original Settlers of Catan.It is a really fun game and easy to get to grips with. Once you’ve played a game or two you will have the hang of it.Everything in the box is high quality and includes multiple expansion card sets which changes the way the game plays keeping it interesting and letting you loftily how you play. Great value for money and we have already had a lot of games with this not long after purchase. I would recommend this even if you haven’t played Settlers of Catan, while the theme is similar and there are similarities to the mechanics, it is an interesting and fun game in its own right.I would recommend getting some card sleeves for the included cards to protect them during play. We use the Gamegenic Blue Matte Sleeves (73mm x 73mm), they fit great and make it easy to move the cards.

Fun game - good for couples

At first this game can seem quite daunting if you are not used to this genre of board games. But this game is excellently designed to guide you through your first game which helps enormously. Once you are familiar with the rules and start delving into the themes, the game really starts to come into its own and it's true brilliance is revealed. A really engaging well thought out game, with real depth and elements of competition and sheer frustration, well worth every penny.

A great game, but does require a LOT of table space so not for camping or the like, maybe. Many levels of complexity possible. Fiendish to work out to begin with but you soon get up to speed. Loved the ability to make your own character cards on the Catan website too.

Waited ages for stock but the fun was worth the wait. I prefer it to the other version!

So this is Catan but without the board, its straight forward once you have played it, however, you de need quite a bit of space so its not really a compact travel game, however, it is really good and highly addictive.

If you have played the Settlers of Catan board game and wanted something challenging for 2 players then this is for you. It uses very similar elements in card format; Roads, Settlements, Cities and Regions but with added action cards that make the game very variable. A comprehensive instruction book is of great help and a very handy reference for the action cards. Takes about 30 mins to play so we often play twice in one evening.
