The media could not be loaded. Filter is very quiet just noiseless. I use it in 125liters aquarium and water is cristal clear. Before this one I've used eheim pickup 160 but this one is like jump to modern world.

Fantastic filter. This filter was recommended to me after a previous filter went belly up. Fantastic filter and easy to clean. It was a little noisy at first but it soon quieted down , now it's silent. Easy to clean and reasonable. You do need a EU - UK plug adapter for it.

After having an external filter for my 100 litre for the last 5 years and never really been happy with it (Hydor Prime 10) I decided to go for an internal filter as I now live in a flat and feel its safer than having an internal rather than getting home to find I've flooded the downstairs neighbours.The good points so far:- Easy to put together and take apart to clean.- I can choose which media I want to put in. All the required media is included to get you started. Its like having an external filter in the tank.- Power and water flow are great and you have a choice of a venturi outlet (bubbles) or a small spray bar. These can all be adjusted to suit your needs including the main direction of the outlet, power of water flow and rate of bubbles.- Price on Amazon at the time of ordering was the best I could find anywhere.Bad points so far, these are not really too bad and can be and have been fixed.- All of these filters come with a European 2 pin plug. This is not stated by Amazon and they do not supply an adapter. After complaining, the only solution they suggested was to send it back for a refund... So I went in to my local shop that sells all things for £1 and bought a European to UK adapter with a 13amp fuse. The plug fits in tightly and feels secure. I was informed by my electrician brother that I should not get one that is designed for use with shavers as these have a 1 amp fuse and are not as safe.- When I first turned the filter on it made a grinding noise that I've had in the past with old filters when the impeller was wearing out. This drove me mad and made me want to send it straight back. I luckily fixed this by leaving it switched off but in the tank overnight. From what I can work out there was air in the unit and just needed to escape overnight. I turned it back on the next morning and it had stopped grinding.I hope this review helps someone who has been thinking about buying one of these but has been unsure due to the lack of UK reviews and available information.

Purchased for use with a new 4ft tank and used from day one to clear and condition. In the end we used two of these units in the tank, both to increase water flow and oxygen saturation while preparing one of the filters to be available readily populated for another tank. This item just works! Even with our fine silver sand we had little problem other than the constraints associated with using internal rather than much larger external filters. With practice, changing sponge filters in tank takes seconds with no mess or real disruption to tank contents. A good all round buy and nicely designed piece of kit.

I purchased this as ancillary / back up filtration for my 210 ltre marine tank. It has been running for a little over 2 weeks and is performing very well. The surface agitation is as I hoped it would be and to clean the intake sponge, with the power switched off, I just unclip the bottom canister and leave the filter in situ. Overall I am very pleased with this unit.

I bought this to replace a faulty fluval u4 and have to say I am most impressed with the quality and customer service Eheim offers. The filter comes with 4 baskets so you can use whatever media you like, it rotates 360degrees and comes with Venturi and spray bar attachments. My only gripes are that the suckers to attach to the tank are very,very poor and not able to hold the weight of the filter at all so it slides down the tank, it's really extremely annoying. You also need to squeeze out the sponges every week or flow is reduced. Other than that I'm very happy with this internal.However, please be extremely wary of purchasing from Amazon, as they offer no warranty support at all, and eheim advised me that they do not normally allow companies that fail to supply excellent aftercare to sell their products. My filter arrived with missing items and Amazon were not able to rectify the matter. However, I did contact eheim who immediately sent out the missing items to me and I was very pleased with their aftercare.

Have had 2 of these [one a smaller version] for years. Runs very well and is quiet. I bought it when a second external filter leaked damaging the tank cabinet. I like the ability to put different filter media in the baskets, like external filters, without the risk of leaks.

if you are looking for an internal filter better than all the other filters, look no further.
