Very good but will eat up your battery
I got this for a dinghy for canal ans then with the 24 volt set up on a calm day it's sea worthy much to my delight.. I have 2 12v 130amp leisure batteries lead acid. Great batteries but heavy as 26kg each and as we know with lead acid as it looses charge u also lose with it performance.. Bit the lithium batteries of the same voltage and amp hour cost around 700 pounds each but give u full power until its totally dead and they only weight 18kg each and charge cycle quicker and u get 2000 charges compared to 300 from a lead acid... This motor has suprsied me as it left a decent wake behind me when on the sea at full power...Just be warned that at this cost it will eat your battery but if your on the canal at lower speeds this thing will carry 2 men 14 miles and return journey as well... Great bit of kit and I have no regret about my purchase.. very well made not too heavy to carry either at around 18-20kg ish. On a 12v set up the battery read out meter will not display as this is a 24v motor. When u have 2 batteries in parallel and wired correctly at 24v the battery power meter WILL then display. I thought mine didn't work until I used 24 v 2 bat set up and it lit up no issues.. Strongly recommend for those looking for silent motoring without any maintenance no oil chnages no nothing at all and totally peaceful on the canal.

Great motors.
This is the second one of these I've bought to run in tandem with the other. Very quiet. I have done 20ish trips in sea water on a 19ft shetland. Obviously only at pootling speed but gets me where I want to go.Mainly using 2 x 130ah lead acids in series but recently bought the kepworth 24v 100ah lifepo4 which I highly recommend. I'll be slowly changing the others over to lithium. I wash off after every time I've used.

Plenty of power
Works great I used it on the river with a 3.6m sib two adults mostly only on power 1 Or 2 with two 12v. 22amp gel batteries wired in series. It pushed us along at faster than walking speed for a couple of hours. Its quite nippy on full bung (5) and it can turn on the spot and very quiet. Perfect for a day out on the River.

More power than expected
Struggles a little through heavy weed but that’s the only negative. Powerful enough to shift 350kg of boat, workers and equipment over a 2 hectare lake. Would buy again

Bison 100lb outboard motor
I will let you know how I get on. Now I've had the chance to use it and it is absolutely brilliant the speed I couldn't be more happier with as I did have the 68lb bison and even though I got on very well with the outboard motor I needed that bit more power because I'm using my fishing boat on a 280 Acre Lake and the 100lb bison has more than enough speed to move a 15 foot heavy boat fully loaded with carp fishing gear around the lake this has impressed quite a few people. and I use a solar panel to keep the 2×12v=24v batteries topped up. I can highly recommend the 68b bison and the 100lb bison outboard motor well worth the money and a lot cheaper than other makes out there 👍👍 I would just like to add the front of the boat actually lifts up out of the water now 😀♠

So far so good
Only had this out a few times but on one occasion against a mid Spring tide on a dinghy. Managed ok which is what I was concerned about, so so far so good. Nice and quiet and smooth and easy to set up.
