Playmobil 6146 Pirate Fort SuperSet with Floating Rowboat, Fun Imaginative Role-Play, PlaySets Suitable for Children Ages 4+

This is a great set. Lots of accessories, three pirates plus a great backdrop for some pirate adventures. I would recommend another set, the take along pirates chest, as a starter set as that is often reduced to be cheaper and comes with almost as much and stores away neatly into itself. Then I would say this is a great add on to that. Both are very good value.My just turned three year old, although younger than the recommended age of 4 gets on fine playing with these. It's one of the only toys that he will happily play with by himself inside the house (usually mummy and daddy have to get involved building tracks or gluing and sticking, which doesn't get the washing up done!), although he does let us have a look in from time to time! It really opens up his imagination as he chatters away pirate conversations between the pirates! I would thoroughly recommend this range of toys and will be adding to our collection.

Very welcome Playmobil pirate dock that comes in handy as our fleet of pirate ships needs to moor and restock from time to time. The castle fragment with door an lock is much appreciated as well as dissident pirates can be locked away behind it.The set looks great. It comes with 3 fearsome pirate, of which the caption in his black dress and hat looks particularly impressive.I continue to be impressed by the quality, versatility and modulariry of the Playmobil range. More pirates however would be great.

Bought as a gift. Many pieces inside. Good value for money compared to many Playmobile sets.

This is a very cool, self-contained Playmobil set at a great price, the sort of set that would make a great gift or starter for a child that doesn't already have any Playmobil.The island makes a great focal point for play, the boat opens up possibilities to broaden the imagination and little extras like the crab, mouse and goat really stretch things out, hinting that Playmobil is about more than just action figures hitting each other.I absolutely love the pirate sets and for the right children they're perfect, but it's worth mentioning that both my son and daughter get more mileage out of Playmobil sets with everyday settings (houses, vets etc) and sets with children and families than they do the monsters and pirates etc. But it's all about imagination. For this reason, I'm disappointed that all the characters are male, which is limiting and would put off my daughter. Funnily enough, she prefers toy sets that she can identify with, that include girls or women. This criticism aside, it's an excellent set and would be very well received by any pirate fan.
