Perfect!!!!
My only regret is that I didn't think to buy one sooner!!Badly broke my right wrist and had an operation to fit a plate over 2 years ago now. It's been painful ever since and using the mouse with an 'ordinary' cheap pad as I have been doing always causes even more discomfort. Then I came across this one whilst browsing for a replacement and it's become one of my favorite Amazon purchases to date. The relief on my wrist was instantaneous! As for the other plus points .... the 'sticky' material (whatever it is!!) used on the underside means it's not going to migrate across my glass desk and I'm amazed how the mouse just glides beautifully with minimal movement of my hand. The material used on the gel wrist pad itself feels soft, comfortable and as the 1st reviewer said, won't stick to the wrist as an uncovered gel pad would. Glad I bought this!!!

Repetitive strain relief
This mouse mat has really helps with the repetitive strain that I get in my wrist when I'm using a mouse. I also use it underneath my waccom tablet and pen when I have it plugged in, as the cushioned part supports my wrist whilst I am drawing. It's worth paying a little bit more for a decent mouse mat.

3M PRECISE MOUSE MAT
The two main problems i have had with some cheaper mouse mats is they don,t work well with an optical mouse and they tend to slide around so you are endlessly repositioning it.This mat works great with an optical mouse and has a rubber base so it stays exactly where you place it.I spend 90% of my time on Photoshop so needed something which was going to give me accuracy and comfort.I must admit i have never used a mat with wrist pad before and at first it felt a bit strange but after an hour i did not even notice itExpensive compared to a lot of mats but worth the extra as it ticks all the boxes for me anyway, it is also made to a good quality. This is why i gave it five stars

Perfect!
Perfect product! Great size, comfortable wrist wrest, mousepad lets your mouse slide easily (no problems with an optical mouse either) + great manufacturing. It also doesn't slide on your table since it has this rubber surface on the bottom. Would highly recommend it and definitely worth the extra pounds.

Compete Disappointment
I was looking for a rigid mouse mat for use with a laptop. I needed a mat that would sit flat on uneven surfaces. This is NOT it! The backing of the mat is flexible rubber and is slightly curved giving you a concave surface to the mouse mat. This can cause the mouse on occasions to not detect the mat and the curser freezes or stutters. The mat is also bubbled around the edge as though the surface hasn't been glued down very well onto the rubber base. One other point is that, as the mat is small, by the time I've positioned my hand on the wrist wrest properly the mouse is almost at the top of the mat, and I'm average adult size. You need to to set a high DPI on your mouse so that you're not moving it far on this small pad. So in short - it's not flat, it's not smooth, and no good for someone with large hands or a large mouse.

Ten years too late
This is a very good mousemat, it's a good size and has a non-slip base so it stays solidly in place. The gel wrist-support is very comfortable and gives good support. A main feature of this mat is the special surface specifically designed for use with a mouse that uses a ball, I guess they still exist but personally I haven't used a mouse with a ball for at least 10 years; however an optical mouse works well on the mat. This is a very expensive mat and as its main feature is for use with a mouse with a ball I can't recommend it.

Goodbye RSI
I have always avoided wrist supports of any kind, as I felt they got in the way and were uncomfortable to use. I eventually had to give this a go, after suffering with chronic RSI for about 4 months and failing miserably with the 3M joystick (upright mouse -lacks accuracy).I've been using this for a few months now and my RSI has completely gone. It also works really well with my MX Laser mouse, so I haven't had to sacrifice accuracy at all. I'm going to start adding gel supports to everything now.

Not nearly as smooth as it looks
I'm afraid this really didn't cut the mustard for me. I was expecting this mouse mat to provide a very smooth glide, but with high accuracy due to 3M's clever use of supposed micro-grooves ("Point, click and drag quickly, smoothly and accurately").In reality, the mousing surface is more akin to fine sandpaper. It is rough to the touch and, in comparison to my old (smooth plastic) mouse mat, is very much noisier when moving a mouse across it. I feel sure that it would wear my mouse's feet down in next to no time. I don't feel that this is what one should reasonably expect from "micro-grooves".This is a great shame, as the wrist rest looks as though it would have provided great support and been easy to keep clean (unlike the fabric covered rest on my old mat).Unfortunately, due to the rough surface, this 3M mat is going back. If 3M could offer a similar mat, but with a very much smoother and quieter surface, I'd be very interested in buying it (preferably also at a more affordable price). In the meantime, my old mat gets a well-earned reprieve.
