I was a little skeptical of ordering a kit, always cut and made my own, but this appeared to have good reviews and was affordable. I bought 2. The wood is clean cut, the boxes fit tight and have a good layer of wax inside and out. The frames are not the normal cheap wood I've bought from other places. The foundation has more wax than other prewaxed I've purchased over the years. The only thing I had problems with is the single top screw splitting the edge, even if only just below the surface. I ended up using tightbond 3 and gluing the crack and using a brad nail to strengthen.The frames assembled great, but I always use glue and a single brad, never had any frame separate in 8 years - I did the same with these. Assembly was easy and everything is tight.The boxes matched the size I've been cutting for years, so my frame spacers (3d printed) fit inside perfectly and everything appears to be good. I'm considering buying 20 more, or the kit with 2 deep and a med super.I like 8 frame hardware because it's not as back-breaking heavy when you're working dozens of hives or lifting supers off for extraction.The price point and quality is good, best I've seen in a kit before. The wood is flawless and the joints of the box are dovetailed, which makes the box really sturdy. The wax coating is really thick and well done. It looks like a piece of furniture. The combs are precision made and are really fun to put together. I ordered the double dipped combs and am very satisfied with them.You cant find a nicer hive for twice the money

Excellent. Manufactured very well. All parts fit together tight. Nothing missing in box. This is not my first hive that I've put together from other companies. This was as good or better as any of them. Good price. I will buy again.

The hive had everything in it and it was easy to assemble. Instructions were clear on how to assemble the hive and the frames. I am very satisfied with my purchase. Thank you for a great product at a great price.

Everything came in a well organized package. Instructions were a bit tough to read but anyone who’s assembled anything from ikea and us a basic knowledge of beehives can put it together without. Everything is thoroughly waxed and predrilled. It took less than an hour to assemble the whole thing. I was originally planning to build my own boxes and order frames on Amazon but the price difference between the full kit and just frames was a no brainer. Maybe cost $25 more for the waxed precut box pieces along with divider, lid, and bottom tray. Be careful when driving the screws because you may cause some splitting in the dovetails if not careful. This is just unavoidable sometimes with soft wood like cedar and I just left those screws out (2 total) and consider it a non issue. Will be ordering more of these hives for sure.

Easy to assemble nice quality all around a genuinely nice hive. Looks good just take your time with it when building and you shouldn’t have any trouble.

This is a great beehive. Good construction, well waxed . This is my favorite of all the hives I have purchased.
