Batman: Bat Signal (RP Minis)

Ok, let's get the elephant in the room out of the way first.It's small. Look at the product description and that will be clear. The book that comes with the bat-signal is as small. It's a basic book on Batman, his history, his allies and his enemies. It's designed for children, I would say, 7-11 years old.Now onto the Bat-signal. I love it. At close range (6-12 inches) it projects a good, clear signal. Even from 5 feet away onto a clear white ceiling the bat signal is clear. Not the brightest but based on it's size that was always going to be the case.This is a novelty item. It's not meant to be bright enough to be used as a night light, nor a reading light, but if you are a Batman fan this is a lovely little item that will sit on your shelf with your Batman books.I love it. I also love the Superman: Krypton version too.

Ok, yes it's small. Even with the reviews, I didn't realise how small. But think keyring size. However, this was a present for a 4 year old, who my son is best friends with. They both love all the superheroes, and we have the larger version of this which you plug in (and which I would totally recommend - we got it as a present for his birthday in Jan! and We love it, nevermind our son). It's not as powerful, obviously, and I had real difficulties trying to get hold of a spare battery for it, but finally found one for a FIVER in Timpsons. But, the feedback from my friend (the mum of the 4 year old to whom it was given) was, he loves it and she had to prise it out of his grip whilst he was asleep as he insisted on going to sleep with it. I think it's particularly good if you have Happyland batman buildings or similar (lego, or even a batman action figure), and I'm sure the more creative among you could fix it to a keyring somehow, so that you are never without the ability to call for help from the Caped Crusader. We love it, and despite having the larger one, my son now wants this too. I feel it's really good value for money in all honesty - just source spare batteries from somewhere first - ours was dead on arrival.

So I got the product on the day it suggested, which is great and very happy with it. Smaller than expected but it is just a silly gift for a friend, the only problem that actually annoyed me severally was the fact the Delivery Person actually left my parcel at the doorstep and didn't use the doorbell or knocker.If I knew who the person was, I'd have them reported as even though it's a cheap little toy, it's still a product I paid money for and if that's the type of delivery I'm going to expect in the future, I might not purchase from this buyer again.

Not got a problem with the seller, the product is great, didn't appreciate the fact on a Sunday having two door bells and being knocked out of bed at 9 and finding my parcel left at the front door on the door step, where someone could've taken it, it was bought for my daughter as a good behaviour reward, I already bought one for my son and they are of good quality, it is what it is, not everything sold is for everyone, it keeps my children happy and that's all that counts. thankful for a quick delivery. sorry I've had to write a bad review on the delivery driver hope this don't affect yourself.

Yes it's tiny. But it does shine a bat signal and that's all that matters to my 3 year old Batman enthusiast! We bought this as an accessory for his bottom bunk "bat cave" and it's perfect. You get a tiny little batman book that comes with it (FYI - not the best for dim lit bedtime reading by semi-sighted parents!)

I was looking for batman stuff to add a bit extra to a wedding cake and this little light was perfect.. it was and ideal size

I was expecting it to be bigger as was going to use it as a nigh time light but its extremely small! its a novelty if that! and for the price its def over priced, shame as it looks cool but such a disappointment! light is nonexistent unless its about 1cm away from the wall, floor or cieling!

I purchased this item for my 6 year old sons birthday. He was so excited when he got it, thinking there would be a massive bat signal on the wall (I knew when I got it it wouldn't be great). It comes well presented in a little box, the box itself is about the size of a postage label printed by the Royal Mail to give you an idea of size. The bat signal itself is a little taller than a 50p coin. The light is incredibly weak, you have to be in a pitch black room holding it an inch or two away from the wall for it to work. The book is probably the best bit of this little set. It was way bigger than anticipated (I thought a couple of pages at max, but it has quite a few pages, but isn't great quality. The bat signal feels like a very cheap plastic. I wasn't impressed and to be honest the only reason I've given it 3 stars is my son loves to put it on when he's gone to bed. If it weren't for that it would have been in the bin! I wouldn't recommend really unless its like a cheap little present / stocking stuffer as the receiver may not get a lot of use out of it.
