U.S. Solid 1/4inches Brass Electric Solenoid Valve 110VAC Normally Closed VITON

This normally closed solenoid was the perfect solution to make sure that i don't blow myself up. I use it on a propane line that feeds a forced air burner in my blacksmith shop. If i were to lose power to my burner fan the gas flow entering the 2400° forge is stopped immediately. No boom. Perfect!

Being too old, fat, and lazy to get on the floor to drain the water from my 60-gallon air compressor tank, I replaced the manual drain valve with this one and plumbed a line to the outside of the building. Installation and wiring were straightforward and the valve works perfectly for this application. I wired in a momentary switch and all it takes is a few seconds to drain the water.

A longer cord would help

I bought this solenoid valve so I could automatically drain my 60 gallon Husky air compressor tank. It works just as I expected so I don’t have to get on my hands and knees to manually open and close the drain valve at the bottom of the tank.

A solid piece of equipment that was simple to install. I'll update if it goes bad in the next few months

my mig gas solenoid went bad new cost 100+ dollars, bought this and added some fitting for under 25 dollars total. worked perfectly, Even at low 1psi the valved closed and sealed properly. saved over 75 dollars. Welder is a hobart 140

Build quality looks very good. The problem is about a 16th of an inch drain hole. Don't be fooled by 1/4" npt outlet. Could clog easily and drains slowly.

Wires were a little short but it worked as a replacement for my fire machine
