Frameless Shower Door Bottom Seal Shower Sweep with Drip Rail for 1/4" Glass,36" Long, Vinyl, Clear

I have a 3/8" glass shower door. The seal at the bottom of the door wore out and I have been looking for a replacement seal. I purchased 2 from HD that didn't work because they wouldn't allow the door to close. I realized that my door requires a soft, flexible flap extending from the bottom of the seal to allow the door to close. I could only find this online. I looked at the features closely to make sure that this would work, and it does.It slides on easily over the bottom of the door. Make sure that you order the correct width.It came in a 36" length, so I cut off the extra 6" with a sharp knife.If works well and seals the door so that water doesn't drip out beneath the door.

There are so many different types of these strips. I've been looking for the one that comes closest to the 20 year old one we had to replace. This one was almost a perfect match and works perfectly. Aside from the configuration of the stripping, make sure you pay attention to the thickness of the glass that it accommodates. I'll be ordering another just to have it in reserve.

We recently remodeled our bathroom and installed a frameless glass door. I was unaware of all of the things we should have known ahead of time when choosing our door. I did not know that sweeps were necessary, silicone under the fixed panel, all sorts of things in order to keep the water inside the shower and not spilling out to the floor. The sweep that came with the door unfortunately was not tall enough for the gap we ended up having after the door was installed. It seems like most sweeps are 1/4" or so. We had a 1/2" gap to close up. I found this sweep in hopes that it was 1/2" as advertised, and it is. I trimmed it down to the length we needed, and then I also have to make an additional trim on the inside because of the seal that sits along the fixed panel to keep the water in. Without making the additional cut, the door does not close flush against the seal. I have shown some close up photos of the additional cut. I used a hacksaw for the stiffer part of the sweep, and some scissors for the more flexible part. After using this sweep for about a week, I can say that it does help keep the water in much better than the other sweep we had on briefly. When we open the door it still will pull some water towards the edge of the curb, so we end up having to wipe down the outside edge of the curb, but it's a small amount, not from the entire length of our showers. It was quite difficult to install. It took a lot of muscle strength to slide onto the door. Our glass is 3/8" thick and it fit, but it was hard. The one we used prior to, went on so much easier. I guess with how difficult this one was to slide on, maybe it means it will not allow any water inside the seal? I will most likely end up ordering a few more of these to keep on hand for when we will need to replace this one, since it is the proper height and I don't know how hard it will be to find another one down the road when this one wears out.

Easy to install and fits well. Tried another brand and was not good. You can count on this to hold the water out. As another reviewer said., use a utility knife to cut it straight and careful.

Properly sized 1/4” sweep. Should serve its purpose. Better than the big box store (HD). I ordered from them 3 different times, and they could never get me the right sized item. From Amazon, right the first time.

I ordered the 36” sweep for 1/4” glass. Unfortunately the sweep was not 36” but was 35 1/2”. My shower door is exactly 36” wide. Buyer beware…
