Comes with just about everything you would need for a basic leather job. I really have no complaints. I did break the eye of one needle, but that was my fault, as I was using needle nose pliers and grabbed the eye to pull the needle through some tough material. I completed a leather task and had plenty of color options to choose from. There is an abundance of thread. It would take you days to run through it all. Very happy with my purchase. The thread seemed to hold up well to strong tugs, and it was well waxed. I would definitely buy this again, but I highly doubt i will do much more leather work.To note, one can certainly sow leather to wood. I sowed a belt end to a piece of pine as an experiment, and it held up well. I couldn't pull it apart with almost all my might (at least 100 lbs).

This is a good starter kit. It would be nice though if it came with a booklet explaining what all the tools are for

Just what I needed to complete my kit.

This was a purchase for my son who has been getting into making items with leather. He was very happy and has used the items in here a lot in the short time he has had it. It has helped make things easier and quicker for him. Definitely recommend this kit, at least for beginners, maybe even for more advanced leather workers...

Decent way to get a variety of tools for starting out. I already have a mish mash of tools I got at a garage sale. It was cheaper for me to buy this kit and get all the extra thread than it was to buy the individual tools I wanted individually.
