I've used most of the mineral sunscreens out there (too many to list) and there were a few that I did like. These sunscreens left minimal white cast and were easy to apply and were not drying. This is one of them! I love how moisturizing it is and how light it is when applying. It does leave a white cast but it is not that bad. Another plus is that it is a large size compared to other brands so you really get your money's worth. If you're second guessing about it, don't and just buy it. You will love it!

I just purchased our second bottle and this stuff is phenomenal! I don’t use it much cause I’m inside all day but my husband needed a very strong spf as he is white as in white white and fair a scotch Irish American through and through. He can’t stop raving about how well it has protected him from the sun as he works through the day as a landscaper. And then we both garden and are out with the dogs quite a bit on our weekends.it is really an amazing product. When I saw coconut joes was based out of Florida I figured they HAD to know something about sun care. I was not wrong... very very happy with this product! I swore by alba for years but I just can’t seem to find their high spf sport sunscreen and so I had to do research to find the same quality sunscreen ..I found in coconut joes.

After learning about how sunscreen is laden with so many harmful chemicals I wanted an alternative. I read many reviews on zinc oxide sunscreens and user reviews I ended up at Coconut Joe’s. We had a vacation planned with my 6-year old granddaughter to Sanibel Island and I wanted something better for her. We used the 50 SPF. I already saw the complaints about the visible white film and the less than creamy application so I was prepared. 3 of us used this product. 2 adults, 1 child. We had GREAT success over 5 days in beautiful, sunny weather in the 90s. We all actually tanned somehow. No burns. I didn’t care about the white residue. I wanted safety from chemicals and the sun. We got both!!

I recently purchased this product to protect my family's skin while hiking and diving in Thailand. I'm happy to report that it works really well. It works so well that despite being outside in the sun nearly every day from sun up to sun down we barely have a tan (we are highly melinated people but do usually get noticeable tans when in the sun like we were).While the product does separate a bit, just shaking it up once or twice before use takes care of that. I felt that it soaked into my skin better than any other natural sunscreen. We are black so we did get a little bit of that white residue after application but it went away after a bit and was worth the tradeoff for sunscreen we can feel good about. I will be supporting this company going forward.

I have olive skin and a very good base tan, so for me to get burned is very hard. Used this sunscreen and I got burned. It hurt for days. Really can't understand the good reviews. It does feel good when you first put it on, it has nice consistency and doesn't leave you white. But that doesn't matter if it doesn't protect you from the sun.

Bought this for my boyfriend who was having photosensitivity skin issues while working outside. Switching to this sunscreen has helped immensely. It doesnt have the creepy chemical that seems to exacerbate his symptoms. No smell at all to it, which he likes. You do have to rub it in a bit more than a usual sunscreen but thats kind of a small price to pay to avoid rashes etc and as a bonus your not polluting the lakes as much with all the typical chemicals in sunscreens

This product doesn't have a strong scent, which is why I purchased it. Two stars because I think it did kind of block the sun. But it separates really quickly so when you try to apply the sunscreen you get a mixture of liquid and major chunks of white stuff. And if you're able to finally apply it, it does this weird thing where it blocks pores, so wherever you apply it you literally can't sweat. It's really bizarre, I've never experienced this with a sunscreen before. I would ride my bike and the underside of my arms would start sweating because the top of them where the sunscreen was applied couldn't. I'm pretty flexible when it comes to Natural sunscreens because I don't use the chemical kind. And I wanted to like this because of the natural ingredients, but I seriously don't know who could possibly use this.

Love this product. Definitely feel it working, and am so happy to use something that is environmentally conscious and coral-safe. Hope they improve to the point where doesn't whiten your face so much when you put it on, then it'd be 5-stars. But all in all it's the best I've found on the market!
