Great product at a decent price. My super-slow computer became ultra-fast after installing this SSD. Super easy to install and move the OS files from the Hard Disk Drive to this SSD. Definitely recommended.

I did an extensive study of my laptop and came to the conclusion that it supports only SATA SSD and not NVMe. This product fit the best for my needs (I would suggest NVMe drive if it is supported in your M.2 slot, which wasn't the case with me.) If you have and old HDD based laptop, this expense will make it remarkably fast! Worth the investment. 128 GB SSD was sufficient for my OS installation to increase the speed, but I went for 500 GB SSD and ordered an HDD enclosure. in 500 rupees, I got my internal HDD converted into an external USB HDD. Transferred my important data in SSD, and kept movies and entertainment things in HDD. Works like a charm. Don't worry about SSD life and wear-out things if you are a regular user.

A fabulous SSD which is worth the price. Amazing speeds and an amazing transition from using a HDD. OS boots up within 5 seconds. The only thing I noticed that even though the SSD is branded as WD Blue, the BIOS and Windows recognises the SSD as "SanDisk SSD G5 BICS4". Went through the internet to check why it is so, still didn't find a precise explanation why. Otherwise, it is a great SSD worth the price and patience if you owned a HDD driven computer.

This is definitely not the fastest M.2 in terms of benchmarks. But surely serves the purpose. WD has done a great job with this. The only comparison is Samsung 8xx series, which is without doubt faster than WD.After doing some benchmark with CrystalDiskMark thought of returning the product due to slower benchmark results, but after doing some real world experiments I was more than happy with this.But in real world use, the differences are merely noticeable. Apart from that, the great advantage is the battery backup gain. After installing this SSD, my battery backup has improved to above 6 hours from 4.5 hours. Earlier I tried with LITEON & 850 EVO, neither of it gave beyond 4.5 hours. Is advantage of few seconds in an hour or so worth 90 minutes of additional backup? Definitely not. It was an unexpected surprise for me. WD has good power management it seems!

Be careful while Installing the os and the SSD. First install the SSD in the port and check whether it is detected by ur laptop or pc and create a most recent recovery usb drive for installing the os. Remove other hard disks while Installing the OS on this SSD, since it caused error for me. Watch tutorial on YouTube for your doubts.Performance after installing SSD:It increases the performance of laptop for sure. Boots within seconds.Opens chrome within seconds.Make sure you install all the drivers without fail after installing OS.Fresh installation is recommended than cloning the os.

Very good mid-tier SATA SSD. If your system is a bit old and only supports the SATA interface then this is the best option in my opinion. Better performance compared to WD Green and little price difference.WD should have provided the screw in the box. It was very difficult for me to find a proper screw to install this and have to use a screw from the laptop itself, had to grind it down to make it smaller.

I got the drive and installed it, it works good , speed and performance is good.I went to WD website for warranty registration and the e-mailed me saying that the drive manufacturing is more than one year old so they need me to get a document saying that amazon has sold me a brand new drive and not a used one so that they can register my warranty.It's been 20 days and have spoken to amazon 3 times and they have not been able to resolve it, they keep saying we will revert u back, nor have I been able to return the drive for refund.Furthermore I learnt from WD that whenever u receive or buy a drive offline, if the manufacturing is more than 1 year old, we should return the drive immediately.Product is good so far but no warranty registration and no help from amazon

I've used this as an add-on OS drive for my HP laptop, having 1TB HDD. This has made the laptop real fast. Faster booting and also faster running of my various embedded IDE softwares. Poured a new life in the laptop.Reduced 1 star due to the accompanying cloning software, it gave me a lot of trouble as I have a Linux partition also in HDD. Though I was trying to clone only windows+boot partition in the SSD, it always got stuck analysing the whole HDD and finally declaring unfit drive for cloning. Couldn't get past. I had use another software, easeus, with a month trial period for successfully cloning the Windows. Now it works perfectly.But once cloning is done, this is really a good SSD option at nice price. Value for money.
