Easy to use
The knife is balanced and fits perfectly in my hand; it does a great job filleting crappie!

Very poor performance
I cleaned three fish before the blade quit cutting through the fish altogether. These were not large fish. They were 12 inch. Croppie should have been no problem for this knife. I would not recommend this knife. I’m sending it back immediately. This is not a good product.

The best Cordless Fillet Out there
Used this for over a season of Saltwater fish filleting, Mostly Redfish. Trout, Pampano, & Snapper, up to 28". It is a very good cordless fillet knife, I know of none better on the market currently. That said it does have some minor problems, sometimes the blades come out, the blade could be longer, it is not as powerful as an electric, but for me the cordless feature more than makes up for it, I've done maybe 3 tx limits of redfish before the battery finally dies, which for you non texans, thats 9 redfish most right up there in 24" to 28" range. I've recommended this to most of my fishing partners. No battery problems on my knife. Good Luck!

Works as well as any of the others.
The knife works, the two blades are nice touch, especially when you are cleaning smaller fish. I have yet to find a electric fillet knife that seems to handle large volumes of fish and this one has some nice features but falls short on others.1.Ergonomic handle and sharp blades are certainly a plus2. "Cigarette" Light attachment is great3. Nice carry case, although the amount of foam makes repacking a little difficult4. Before long I developed a short in the cord, I was able to replace the end and it worked.5. Part of the motor mount is plastic and the motor torque managed to break the plastic. I was able to replace with a metal screw, but not a great design idea.

Don’t buy this.
If I could this knife zero stars I would. It started out bad. I bought the knife, received it, it wouldn’t shut off. I couldn’t stop the blade from running. I sent it back and got a replacement. That one was ok for the first few times I’ve cleaned fish. I’ve used this knife maybe a dozen times. It has gotten progressively worse each time, and it didn’t start out all that great. I’ve used my friends American Angler PRO with the shark blade and it is amazing. That’s what I am replacing this with. It looks pretty, looks well built, but good luck getting through a good bucket of fish without ripping your hair out and breaking the thing in half. I cleaned 10 fish with a friends knife about 20 minutes faster than it took me to clean just 4 fish with this knife. If I could return it, I would.
