This was exactly what I needed: 2mm thick acrylic is not that easy to find. It cuts great in my Glowforge laser cutter. It's a good thickness for a Eurorack module DIY front panel (for stiffness, I glued a perpendicular bar of 3mm acrylic to the back).I have no idea why someone rated this one star.

This acrylic was advertised as CAST acrylic, which is recommended to cut well with a laser. Unlike other CAST acrylic I have purchased from Amazon, the laser melted the edges of a cut, rather than producing a nice sharp, clean polished edge. I don't believe it is actually CAST acrylic, and is probably extruded acrylic. I may play around with the settings on my laser to see if I can find a way to make it work, but I'm not sure it's worth the time and effort. I just need to find ACTUAL cast acrylic in different colors to use.

I received these acrylic sheets today. They are exactly what I was looking for for use in my laser. Each sheet is covered in a plastic film to prevent scratches. Plastic film is a little hard to release initially but that doesn't take away from the quality of the product. Very happy with this purchase will purchase again. Package nicely and came quickly.

This is not cast acrylic as stated in the description. It melts, bubbles, and produces a noxious smell when trying to cut with a laser. I tried a range of power and speed settings, and although I was able to eventually cut through the material , the edges were very rough and melted together. The material is brittle, so cut-parts are easily broken when trying to break them from the sheet. The attached photo shows the same cut, with the same power and speed settings on this material (left), compared to acrylic from another vendor (right), that is actually cast acrylic. You can see the dramatic difference in cut quality. My objection with the product is that it is described as being cast , when it is obviously extruded, thus not suitable for most laser cutting projects.
