Easy repair
Getting the glue to melt and then stick was really quite easy and the bond appears to be a strong one. As per the instructions (online, nothing supplied with the tape) I used an iron set to a medium temperature with a piece of grease-proof paper and held it in place for seven seconds. The hard bit was lining up the edges of the torn material and keeping them in place while I applied the iron. Since the rip was in the outer layer I had to feed the tape through the slit, manoeuvre it into place, hold the edges together, and then apply pressure to stop anything moving as I transferred the iron onto it. Inevitably the edges moved apart slightly leaving a small gap. On the second rip I tried to prevent the edges from moving apart by applying masking tape on the outside before ironing and exactly the same thing happened again, except this time I had an almost impossible to remove sticky mark from the masking tape. Anyway, none of this is the fault of the repair tape, which I would thoroughly recommend.

Doesn’t stick to tent material
Spent a long time slowly cranking the temperature on the iron up using a piece of paper between the iron and material. Some areas would not stay down and after I’d let it cool for 30 min it was very easy to pull the tape off. Not going to last one trip in the wild. I abandoned this product and will search for one with different type of glue. Maybe it sticks better to other materials. It reminds me of my childhood, glue not sticking! Thought we had moved on from those times.

You will need a electric iron to do the job
I thought they were just what i wanted to mend a few patches

Used on Rab waterproof pants Hhhhhmmmm
Bough to fasten / repair torn Rab waterproof pants. this tape did not stick at all.Tried multiple times with multiple amounts of heat. Was less sticky than a post it note.Tried on both sides of the fabric but useless for these.Don’t know if it works on other fabrics hence only 3 stars. Maybe it works well on other cloth.

Easy to use
Took a bit of time but it repaired my Gore Tex jacket. Looks like new again and plenty more left to use again if needed.

Doesn't stick well to my tent...
...which may be result of the waterproofing. I haven't tried it on regular cloth, but since it's main purpose is to waterproof seams one might expect it work with waterproof materials! I melted it on with a medium-hot iron ("synthetics") but when I turned it to melt on the opposing face, the first part lifted in patches and neither face has a good finish, being translucent and misty, not transparent and near invisible as expected.

Great for repairing tears in lightweight waterproof clothing.
I used a small piece of this tape to repair a rip in the sleeve of my unlined waterproof jacket. I "ironed on" the tape using a sheet of kitchen roll to protect the fabric. This worked perfectly without damaging the jacket. The tape is very thin and looks just like the tape manufacturers use to seal seams in waterproof clothing.
