Hi! The beautiful dog wearing the pink Happy Hoodie is Chase Field, a Mini Aussie who is on the larger size of her breed. How effective is this for gunfire noise?

It doesnt block noise BUT what you do is get human foam noise protectors that you roll in your finger and then expands... So roll it up and put in your dogs ear canal and then use this to cover the ears so they cant shake their head and have the rollers fall out

Yes, maybe a bit large. do not use if dog has prolapsed trachea as this is quite tight around the throat.

Has anyone had success using this on their dog during thunder?

I haven't but I use it in my grooming salon to buffer loud noises like the dryer. Really helps calm sensitive dogs.
