Q: Does this have an automatic shut off feature? My old one didn't and I do not want this.

The massage part turns off after about 15 minutes. The heat part stays on. For the price and the size I like it. Even if I have to replace it every few years. Remember that there is a warm side and a HOT side to the pad!

Q: What is the highest temperature in Fahrenheit? Not in number settings.

The top side is very warm but not "hot" If you have it flipped over it can get HOT.

Q: How many vibrating units?

The fabric has two vibrating pods, approximately 5 inches apart. There are TWO levels of vibration. If you press the bottom button on the Remote, you get Heat. The second button is Vibration. If you press once, you get moderate vibration, but after vibration starts, you can press the button a second time, to get a higher frequency of vibration. No instructions included, i found the 2nd level of vibrations when my grandchild started pressing the buttons while i was using the pad on my back. It was better on the second level.
