Always Looks Beautiful and Easy To Use
I absolutely LOVE my kettle. I had a cheap glass one before and it always looked terrible because of water spots. The Delonghi cost a bit of dough, but well worth a splurge and should last a lifetime. I leave it on my countertop and it looks fantastic. I love the pastel blue color and vintage look. I love that it is stainless steel and I don't have to worry about breaking it like a glass one. It cleans up fast and easy and the stainless steel inside looks great. It is so simple to operate. Just fill it with water, set on the base and push the lever down. In only a few minutes, my water is bowling and I make my iced tea. I hope my review has been informative and helpful.

IF you are trying to use this in the United States DO NOT BUY.
I realize the plug will fit into the wall, but if you put an appliance that is rated for 100v into 120v socket you are going to burn it up and cause a potential fire. Unfortunately the questions/answers attached to this made me think it was okay to buy (they don't know what they are talking about IT WILL NOT WORK IN US SOCKETS), but sheet is included with the kettle saying not to use it in standard US outlets or the kettle will break. In the process of trying to return.

Easy to use; updated design suggestions.
Note all instructions are Asian characters with no English. Pot comes just to simmer then auto shuts off. There is a sieve at spout for loose tea leaves. Spout pours without dripping (well designed). Made hot tea with 3 bags started with hot tap water and tea ready fast. Design is very nice (beige and brown with chrome accents) and lid is chromed metal. However a true retro design would have a BROWN electric cord instead of a GREY electric cord. Also would prefer a 3-prong (grounded) cord.

Outstanding in Every Way
I LOVE THIS KETTLE! Yes, it’s expensive, but tell the truth...you can’t get over how pretty it is! Of course I could buy a bargain kettle that would also heat my water in mere seconds, but it would be plastic on the inside and I’m not too keen on boiling water in a container that would almost certainly be leaching toxic chemicals into my daily cup of tea. The DeLonghi is all metal inside (my guess is aluminum, given its light body) and isn’t too heavy, even when full. It operates quickly and quietly, delivering the perfect temperature water to my cup in less than a minute. This kettle is absolutely gorgeous, well-made, and unique. In my tiny kitchen, where real estate is at a premium, she proudly stands stove-side so that all may admire her beauty. No one puts Baby in a corner!

!! It is cute, and I bought it because it was smaller than the last one I had.
I have been pleased with the small appliances from De'Longhi. I had one electric teakettle for about 13 years before the handle finally cracked. I liked the old one better because the top was on a push button hinge. This one is much more compact and you have to take the lid off by hand, and it holds about half as much. It also cost about half as much as my old one. It is an Italian company, but this particular product came from Japan.I wouldn't waste this much money, again!

I love it!
Update:I’m not sure why it didn’t boil the water the first couple of times that I used it, but now it’s working perfectly. I love that the cord is not attached to the kettle itself so you can pick it up and take it where you need it. I use this kettle multiple times a day and it’s worth every penny.I love the style of this kettle and it heats water very quickly, but it does not heat it all the way to boiling which kind of defeats the purpose.
