Quality is good. Effective, not given the chance.
Even though I returned these, I thought they were great quality. The dealership tried telling me they were defective, but yet didn’t cut the key first at all? I’m not sure how these program but I gave up on arguing with the dealership and just returned them.

Not bad for the price but needs some glue.
These remotes work just fine and the key blanks cut fine. They would receive 5 stars if not for a single issue. The issue is that the factory remotes only separate at the battery lid. These remotes also come apart in half exposing the board and spring mechanism. They will separated unexpectedly sending all the parts flying. A little super glue along the body fixed the issue with them. Now they are like the factory remotes. The battery lids fit tight and stay in place. Overall satisfied after a quick fix.

BECAREFUL! It is easy to get the wrong thing
I got these for a Buick Lacrosse 2012. The fobs I received are not for push-button start cars. I need to different ones - the only way to start the car with them is to remove the center console and put them in the pairing slot. LAME

ACE Hardware is the cheapest way to cut duplicates
I took these to my small-town ACE Hardware to see if they could cut the duplicates. They said these with the big fob wouldn't fit in their machine but we took them back to the machine and they did. Then he said he couldn't program them and I told him no problem because I learned the trick to that from YouTube. He cut the keys and followed me out to the car. I put in my old key, turned on the ignition (without cranking), waited a minute, turned it off, pulled out the key then immediately put the freshly cut one in and cranked the car! He asked his boss how much to charge for cutting these and the boss sounded surprised and said "uh, $5 per side" ($20 total for cutting both keys). Other observations: 1. I tested the battery that comes with this remote (size 2032) and you might want to replace it with a good name-brand one. 2. The next day after opening my door (I don't remember which remote I used), my car seat started reclining on its own (but it hasn't done it since), so maybe these remotes control more than most people think. 3. My car is a 2013 Buick LaCrosse (hybrid, if that matters).

It works!
People need to be aware that to have the key cut can be more expensive than expected. The last time I had a key cut, which also came with the key was about $2. Obviously a long time ago. This cut was $45 per key. I feared the keys wouldn’t program and that I’d have to shell out even more for that, but this simple method of programming them actually worked and I was pleasantly surprised! These fobs are better than I expected. Highly recommend. 2014 Chevy Cruz LTE.

Doesn’t look like the pictures
Works great and programming took less than 5 minutes on both my 2014 Malibu and my 2013 equinox the keys locksmith came out and cut them and I programmed them myself but they don’t look like the one in the picture but for the the money I think it’s worth it wish I would have known they looked like this

Much easier than I thought it would be.
I tried to get keys replaced through the dealership, but they were on back order and we’re going to cost $175 per key. Then I went to batteries plus and it was going to take weeks to get them in and they were going to charge me $150 per key. When I checked Amazon, the price made me think this must not be as easy as they make it sound. Due to the fact that I was going to have to wait to get them done anyway, I figured I would give it a try. It did cost me $50 each to have the key man cut the key. Programming the key was extremely simple and I had two keys programmed in less than a minute. I am a moderately Tech savvy woman in my late 50s and this was no problem.
