This is a perfect lapboard. When growing up, we had lapboards that had a sawdust cushion and a hard top. I love them, you could sit in any chair enjoying the company of your family while working on small projects, homework, etc. I hadn't seen anything like that in years (certainly not as an adult). I've gotten to the point where my kids are old enough to not need constant attention and I'd like to do small projects while in the company of my family during the evenings. I wanted a lap board for that purpose. This product met my needs perfectly.Pros:1) The cushion underneath is comfortable and allows the lapboard to sit stable on a lap while sitting on a couch or recliner2) The adjustable top piece is pretty sturdy, and very easy to move but stays in place once set. Positions all have a useful purpose3) The lip at the bottom that can be moved in if you want a completely flat surface and out if you want to catch items while the top in inclined is great4) I've used this product for multiple things and it's worked well for each: Working on my laptop, writing notes, drawing sketches, needlework projects, etc.Cons:1) The lip does not have a catch like the adjustable top portion. Its not a big deal, but when I put the lapboard away, the lip always flips out.2) I wish the lapboard was just a bit larger. The size isn't bad, as it will fit a medium sized laptop, but it would be nice is it was 4-5 inches longer

This is one of the best purchases (on or off Amazon) that I’ve made in recent memory - especially for the price. I write by hand and illustrate quite often and this has solved most of the terrible pains caused from hunching over my work. I also bring it around the house and use it flat on a desk or table when I want to raise any work or writing (or my laptop) closer to my eyes. I assume it would be a great way to hold an iPad while reclining, as well. Although I expect for that use it would help if the flip-down ledge to rest it on were larger. This would help me out when using larger notepads/sketchpads/magazines/books.I bought this lap desk specifically because it was one of the less common models that allows the work surface to be raised higher. Once it’s adjusted to that height, the legs that support it are nice and sturdy, (I can lean on them with my elbows.) Surprisingly, the rather thin plastic of the work surface does not flex anywhere when you’re writing on it and feels really solid. It would be nice if the adjustable legs locked into place so it didn’t come loose when picked up or turned on its side, but it’s not a big deal. The cushions on the underside are really comfortable and nice and tall to provide extra height. They are presumably spaced apart feom one another instead of one large cushion so it feels ventilated on your lap and doesn’t make you hot. It’s slim enough to keep under the couch or coffee table.For what I paid, I feel crazy for not getting one sooner. And this one especially is a great value for how useful it’s been and how much assistance and relief it provides.

This lap desk is an amazing value at under $8. If the price is over that, don’t bother.Pros: Lightweight, fits my 14.5 inch laptop like a dream, easy to adjust, nice little cushion for your legsCons: Laptop gets super hot, flimsy plastic feels like it won’t last, items slide off the surface if the stopper isn’t flipped up. Unfortunately, the stopper digs into my wrist while typing.

This lap desk surprised me by how much I like it and how useful it is. I work on my computer a lot in the evenings from the couch, and my laptop would get overheated just resting on my legs. I went looking for a laptop desk to help alleviate that. This one had good reviews and seemed affordable, so I went with it. What a find! It is lightweight plastic with a handle at the top end for easy carrying and a little tab that flips up at the other to keep your laptop from sliding off. And since the tab is only in the center of the desk, it is unlikely to interfere with your wrists while you type (a complaint I read for some other desks). Of course, my laptop is enough of a brick (ThinkPad) that the lip/tab doesn't even come up to the top. But for someone with a very thin laptop, it would probably stick up.The cushions on the bottom are soft and filled (I'm sure) with those tiny foam beads, but it's also two separate rolls - one at the back of the desk and one at the front - meaning that air can still circulate under the desk from the sides.I'll admit that I don't use the lift really, but it seems to work just fine and does lock into place when not in use, so it doesn't flop open when you're carrying it by the handle.It certainly does the job of keeping my laptop - and my legs - nice and cool. I can also rest the laptop (on the desk) on the couch or other soft surfaces without worrying as much that it will overheat and catch fire (which is apparently a thing that can happen - don't leave your laptop in bed!).

This item is good. I just wish it propped my tablet up a bit more forward.

I love this lap table easel. I’ve used it for 7 years and I haven’t had an issue. The little stand on the bottom to keep your laptop/drawing/etc leveled has recently cracked after the years I’ve been using it, but only recently. I use it everyday for drawing on my iPad Air and it’s so easy to take with you wherever you want to.The size is perfect for laptops and most iPads and smaller sizes for drawing, painting, etc. I’m going to order a new one once this one fully breaks, but it’s a great product and lasts a long time. I highly recommend !
