So far so good!
I Bought this router on offer for £52.00. My main purpose is to use it as an Access point mode, I have the main Virgin Media Hub 3.0 upstairs and I had a Wi-Fi signal issue downstairs so I ran the cat8 cable from upstairs to downstairs and connected this Tenda router as an access point mode to extend the wi-fi signal downstairs. The main reason I bought this router as it has low latency and a quad-core processor. I usually have around 15 devices connected to this router and no issues in terms of signal and speed The Wi-Fi range is also good it reaches almost my entire house and the speed is superb, it beats the Virgin Media Hub 3.0 for signal, speed and wi-fi range. so far I can say it's a good router. I know it is a Chinese company that some people do not prefer but honestly, this fits within my budget and it does the job the way I wanted. I also don't see a wi-fi drop issue as it always stays steady whenever I do a speed test. I can recommend this router who are on a budget and want good speed, more wi-fi range, low latency and a powerful processor. the software interface is easy and fast so people with advanced knowledge can easily configure it to meet their requirements. hope this helps!

So easy to set up and use
This little monster was so easy to set up and use, literally 5mins! Get your sim (make sure it is activated, some need to go into a phone to receive a code first) but if not, just pop the sim in, go the the website it says in the instructions, it finds your Tenda and you set up a password. That is it!It then works just like any wifi router and gives you glorious wifi to use. If like me, it is your main wifi do try and find a good priced unlimited data sim if you can afford it so you can carry on as normal. I had to change my sim provider and just popped in the new sim and away it went, no messing about at all.Clearly I am using this with a sim card not ethernet, so cannot comment on ethernet use, but cannot see why it would be any different.A little more than I wanted to pay but it is a one off payment and will do for me :)

Cheap for a reason - security vulnerabilities
As many others have said, this is a doddle to set up and works well, but please be careful. It is perhaps too simple. One day I found mine was routing internet traffic via a very dubious address in Pakistan. Whether this was by design as another reviewer has mentioned or just down to vulnerabilities in its poor design which meant it had been ‘hacked.’ I don’t know. I even upgraded the firmware which seemed to cure the issue temporarily but then the problem resurfaced. Personally I wouldn’t trust this router, go carefully.

Easy set up average speeds in Birmingham 20Mbps
We live within site of a 4/5g mast, got fed up with fibre providers increasing prices for their service. Only two of us live in a ground floor flat with 7 devices connected to the Tenda. No problem playing on line high demand games. No problem streaming TV. My opinion is the Tenda is slightly better than my phone hotspot (without the phone battery drain). On that basis happy with my purchase, but will upgrade to a 5g router when the prices are more reasonable.

Excellent value for money. Great for smart homes
I have a smart home. Alexa, lights, plugs etc and upgraded my internet to a high speed connection. The thought of changing all my smart devices to the new router was rather daunting. So, I got this and changed it's name and password to my that of my old router, then connected it to my new modem. (This router allows older style passwords of 8 characters. Some new ones will not allow less than 12 with special characters. So it's perfect for your older modem)Bingo. All my smart devices now run through this router and work fine. (300M max speed is far faster than you'll ever need for smart devices)Like any router or modem, I'd recommend you turn it off and on again every so often (It clears data that can slow it down) but if you do, this works amazingly well.Especially for the price.PLus, it look all flashy with blinking lights and all that :)

Very good for price when super fast speeds arent a priority. But speed CAPPED at 90-100 Mbps!
Decent build quality and very easy to setup, esentially plug and play (unless you want to set a password for it then it will take a minute or two on a browser to setup). A very good router for those with lesser internet requirements AKA most households. The only issue comes with the fact the the ethernet ports are 10/100M instead or 10/100/1000M meaning your ethernet speeds will be capped at 90-100 Mbps even if your internet provides faster speeds. Like I said these speeds will be fine for most people however if you want/need higher speeds then this isnt the router for you. Kind of dissapointing that none of the packaging displays this information and I only found it via some small print in the product description which is very easy to miss. For wifi usage alone I guess i don't see any issue, if speed is your priority then you should be using an ethernet connection anyway.

Very good Mifi router
Having read other reviews I was a bit sceptical but bought one anyway. Tried it on a 3 SIM and speed wasn't that great - around 25Mb. swapped it for a Lebara (Vodaphone) SIM and what a difference, consistant 45-50Mb which is plenty for our needs.Thought the UI could have been a bit better but worked it all out and has some good features found on more expensive routers.Overall very pleased with it.
