Alessi Dressed Spoons with Soft Boiled Egg Opener, Set of 2, Silver

These set of two spoons is a little bit expensive, but the quality is incredible. These soft boiled eggs spoons are made of 100% Italian stainless steel and Italian are good at stainless steel and design so these are pieces of art. Heavy in hand, but not too much; you know what you paid for: quality . Easy to maintain, beautiful and necessary to break the shell, they are a must for happy breakfasts. Moreover, they are a good piece of conversation because you will not see them everywhere!

As an egg lover, I really enjoy using these spoons. They are beautifully crafted, nicely weighted and have a brilliant shiny luster. They are a bit pricey, and I had to think several times before making the purchase. They ended up being an Easter gift from my Mom and now I will always cherish them. If you like to indulge in the egg eating experience, they do make a worthy companion.

They're completely necessary but my wife thinks they're cute.

Good finish. Just as they're shown. Teaspoons for a judge. Have not tried hammer end on soft boiled eggs which is original intent.

They did what they were supposed to do.

I am generally a huge fan of Alessi Products. They are usually of very high quality and wonderful form, but this item allows form to tump function. First the good, the spoons are beautifully crafted and with exquisite polish and amusing design. They appear to be very functional with a little hammer in the head to crack the shells and a nice spoon to eat with. The problem is the slender round handle. It gives nothing to index the spoon while you are attempting to eat with it. You constantly find it rotating around as you try to eat with it, making it very difficult to do the basic task it is intended for...eating an egg. Wonderful to look at, but not as wonderful to actually use.
